Introduced at the 1970 CES in Chicago, the original JBL L100 loudspeaker was the answer to calls for a consumer version of the immensely popular JBL 4210 Pro Studio Monitor. Over the years, the JBL L100 3-way bookshelf loudspeaker has since attained legendary status as JBL’s all-time, best-selling loudspeakers.
Now, the JBL Classic Loudspeakers Series combines the timeless design of the JBL L100 with modern acoustics to create the JBL L100 Classic, JBL L82 Classic and JBL L52 Classic, elevating the iconic loudspeaker to the highest 21st century audio standards.
These models all feature an attractive, 1970’s-style retro design, with vintage JBL styling including the signature Quadrex foam grille in a choice of three colours — black, burnt orange, or dark blue, white cone woofers, and an enclosure finished in genuine, satin walnut wood veneer with black front and rear panels to ensure that these products look as amazing as they sound. Titanium dome tweeters with waveguides, cast-frame woofers and midrange drivers, and advanced crossover networks with front panel attenuators bring you closer to your music than ever before.
The JBL L100 Classic uses the newly developed JT025Ti1 1-inch (25mm) Titanium dome tweeter mated to a waveguide with an acoustic lens for optimal integration to the JM125PC 5-inch (125mm) cast-frame, pure-pulp cone midrange driver located directly below. The vertical HF and MF transducer arrangement is slightly offset to the right of the woofer below, with HF and MF attenuators located on the upper left of the front baffle. For optimum performance, lift and tilt the speakers with optional JS-120 metal floor stands in black, at S$500 per pair. Comes with adjustable carpet spikes too.
The JBL L82 Classic is a compact 8-inch (200mm) 2-way bookshelf loudspeaker featuring JBL’s advanced acoustic technologies in combination with the iconic retro-inspired style of its larger family member, the JBL L100 Classic.
Packaged and sold as mirror-image pairs, the JBL L82 Classic loudspeakers feature a 1-inch (25mm) titanium dome tweeter with acoustic lens waveguide and front-panel HF Level attenuator. The tweeter is the same as used in the larger JBL L100 Classic. The system’s 8- inch cast frame white poly cone woofer delivers a full, natural sound with bass-reflex tuning via a front-firing Slipstream port.
The JBL L52 Classic is a 5.25-inch (130mm) 2-way loudspeaker featuring JBL’s advanced acoustic technologies in combination with the award-winning retro-inspired style of its larger family members.
Equipped with a 0.75-inch (20mm) titanium dome tweeter with acoustic lens waveguide and front-panel HF Level attenuator, the JBL L52 Classic’s 5.25-inch (133mm) cast-frame, white pure pulp cone woofer with bass-reflex tuning via a front-firing Slipstream port delivers stunning sound sure to please any music lover.
The JBL Studio Monitor Series features a range of reference-grade loudspeakers that will elevate the performance of any Hi-Fi system – the 2-way floor standing loudspeaker, JBL 4367 Studio Monitor, and the 2-way bookshelf loudspeaker, JBL 4349 Studio Monitor and JBL 4309 Studio Monitor.
The JBL Studio Monitor Series utilises patented JBL compression drivers mated with High-Definition Imaging horn designs to deliver the finest and most delicate details along with effortless dynamics. Powerful cast-frame woofers are combined with front-firing tuned ports and professional grade cabinet construction to deliver a musical performance that is as real as it gets.
An exemplification of simplicity at its best – the JBL 4367 Studio Monitor is a compact, symmetrical system with a single crossover is characterized by a compact acoustic focus point with exemplary control of its off-axis energy along with a cast-frame 15-inch woofer (2216Nd-1) with a powerful, patented Differential Drive dual 3-inch voice coil and neodymium motor structure for outstanding behaviour in the low to mid frequency range.
The 15-inch woofer (2216Nd-1) sports a lowered resonant frequency compared to its predecessor. This adjustment to the edge treat reduces the break-in period. It also uses a neodymium magnet system to keep the assembly small and light. Upper-mid and high frequencies are reproduced by a patented D2430K 3-inch dual diaphragm, dual voice coil compression driver with dual neodymium motor structures and JBL’s patented High-Definition Imaging (HDI) waveguide horn.
The compact, high performance JBL 4349 Studio Monitor features a 2-way design with patented High-Definition Imaging (HDITM) horn technology, the patented D2415K dual 1.5-inch (38mm) compression driver, and a 12-inch (300mm) cast-frame, pure-pulp cone woofer for powerful dynamics and incredibly accurate sound reproduction.
Modelled on the award-winning JBL 4349 Studio Monitor, the JBL 4309 Studio Monitor is equipped with a 2410H-2 1-inch compression driver mated to the latest patented High-Definition Imaging (HDITM) horn and feature a 6.5-inch, cast frame pure-pulp cone woofer for powerful dynamics and incredibly accurate sound reproduction.. The combination of JBL’s legendary acoustic performance with a retro-style and compact design delivers listeners an exceptional studio-grade audio experience.
Further, The JBL 4309 Studio Monitor’s powerful 6.5-inch (165mm) woofer takes advantage of core JBL engineering techniques to ensure very high output with low distortion sporting sports a classic JBL monitor design with the iconic blue baffle and is finished in a choice of furniture-grade satin Walnut wood veneers with blue grille or satin Black Walnut wood veneers with black grille.
