Mandala Club unveils line-up of art programmes, launches Lee Kuan Yew Sculptures by Daniel Arsham

Mandala Club has partnered with Art Galleries Association Singapore (AGAS) to curate the art pieces which can be found on the walls of The Analogue Room and Popi’s featuring art pieces from Singapore-based galleries BOL Gallery, Aestheletic Art Gallery, Sundaram Tagore Gallery, artcommune gallery, LOY Contemporary Art Gallery, and Prestige Art Gallery. A larger existing collection of curated art pieces from Opera Gallery can also be seen at The Straits Parlour.
Further, Mandala Club has also launched an installation featuring 2 sculptures of the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew by New York-based contemporary artist Daniel Arsham.
Located at The Canvas, the two sculpture was commissioned by Refinery and X3D Studio in honour of the centenary of Mr Lee Kuan Yew’s birth, the two sculptures portray the essence of Mr Lee Kuan Yew’s visionary bravado during an emotionally-charged moment in history and captures his profound legacy in a unique artistic form, made using bronze, stainless steel, and patina.
The first sculpture, Eroded Bronze LKY Full Body 1:2 depicts Mr Lee right before his declaration of Singapore as an independent nation, following the country’s separation from Malaysia. The second sculpture, Eroded Bronze LKY Bust 1:1 captures a vignette of the wisdom imparted by Mr Lee Kuan Yew in his lifetime, continuing to serve as a beacon for navigating the future as Singapore enters a critical moment of change and refreshes the Singapore Dream to build a Singapore that is vibrant and inclusive.

The installation is open to all guests of Mandala Club and members of the public during the opening hours of The Canvas at 8:00am to 5:00pm on weekdays, upon registration.
