Art - Anoli (2022 Collection) -65

Tambapanni Collective, a luxury e-commerce platform that pays tribute to the best of Sri Lankan traditional and contemporary fashion, art, jewelry, travel, and wellness – will officially launch in Singapore on 19 March 2023 with an intimate soirée. The handpicked collection of ethical, bespoke labels is inspired by the Kingdom of Tambapanni, and is an ode to quintessential Sri Lankan heritage and culture.

With a background in finance, Shimna Chandan, CEO and Founder of Tambapanni Collective, recognised that many of her go-to Sri Lankan labels were not easily accessible to international audiences. In a bid to bridge the gap between Sri Lankan luxury and international audiences, she set out to launch the collective of carefully curated brands.

Jewellery

Tambapanni Collective features over 20 bespoke brands offering a stellar array of products and services including apparel, home décor, jewelry, wellness, art, and luxury travel. Brands of note include Amilani Perera, a contemporary line of cocktail and satin dresses that emulates contemporary Sri Lankan chic; Apothecary & Co, a collection of fragrant full-sized candles with especial scents, and Papillon Du The, the perfect example of incorporating traditional Sri-Lankan cultural designs with modern treasures. The label creates jewelry that marry tradition and modernity, such as the Filigree Medium Hansaputtuwa Gold necklace, a contemporary piece encompassing traditional Sri Lankan design that portrays the rich heritage of the Anuradhapura Era.

With a commitment to evading cultural barriers between Sri Lanka and the rest of the world, the e-commerce platform tells stories surrounding each brand, allowing buyers to learn more about the origins of the artisans and their crafts.

Wellness - Simha Tea

The e-commerce platform also carries a range of health and wellness products from Spa Ceylon, which combines 50 years of Ayurveda wisdom, Sri Lanka’s finest natural ingredients and contemporary designs that bring forth ultimate Ayurveda luxury. The Spa Ceylon range includes treatment and essential oils, massage and moisturizing balms, cleansing, and exfoliating bars, herbal compresses and more.

With Tambapanni Collective, holidaying like a V.I.P. in Sri Lanka comes without fuss as the platform opens doors to exclusive luxury stay experiences. This includes locations such as the 120-year-old No. 77 Leyn Baan villa in Galle Fort, owned by celebrity cricketer Kumar Sangakkara, where families will find a home unlike any other, graced to the brim with old-meets-new Sri Lankan architecture, interior design, and art.

Profits from Tambapanni Collective are funneled through the Tambapanni Foundation, which funds a selection of charities that fund a variety of causes from supporting women who have been victims of abuse, to providing legal support for women and children in need.

Tambapanni Collective official launch soirée will take place on Sunday 19th March 2023 at 1880 (1 Nanson Road, Level 3, Singapore 238909), hosted by local Indian actor and host, KP Sandhu. Her Excellency, Shashikala Premawardhane, the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Singapore, will grace the occasion as Guest of Honour.
