It took a really long while, but The Ordinary finally dropped their first ever Lip Balm. The skincare brand has launched everything from serums to haircare, and we were only missing a hydrating balm.

And while it’s called Lip Balm, the multi-use balm can be used all over your body – whether its your elbows, lips, or even your hands to target all the way to your cuticles. Formulated with squalene, which is naturally found in your skin’s sebum, and amino acids, the balm instantly improves hydration by restoring the plumpness to your lips.

Overtime, the regular use of the lip balm will also reduce the dryness as squalene works to heal the dryness of your lips instead of temporary hydration like some other ingredient like petrolatum. The lip balm also comes in a small oblong container that fits into even the smallest of totes and clutches, ensuring that you remain hydrated all day long. Thanks to the main ingredient squalene, the lip balm is lightweight and absorbs quickly into the skin. The fast-drying properties makes it a great product to prep my lips before wearing lipstick, and quickly found its way into my morning skincare routine for makeup days.

The only thing we would change is the size – this would make a great moisturising balm for our entire body!

The Ordinary Squalane + Amino Acids Lip Balm is now available online and at Sephora
