Known for being one of the most iconic and eye-catching hotels in Phuket due to its one-of-a-kind heavenly Sawan Pavillion design with a naturistic tranquil backdrop, the InterContinental Phuket Resort is nestled at the serene Kamala Beach that offers stunning views of the Andaman Sea. Strategically built in a secluded area amidst lush tropical surroundings to create a quiet enclave, it is also conveniently close to popular tourist attractions such as the vibrant nightlife of Patong Beach and the shopping streets of Old Phuket Town.

Opened in November 2019, this resort has swiftly become one of Phuket’s most iconic destinations, thanks to its unique blend of contemporary and Thai-inspired architecture. The resort’s design is a testament to elegance and sophistication, incorporating natural materials and elegant interiors that reflect the rich cultural heritage of Phuket.

Upon our arrival at the resort, we were greeted by the resort’s ever-courteous staff, who set the tone for a stay characterized by a seamless check-in process with exceptional service! The resort offers 221 meticulously designed rooms, suites, and villas, each equipped with modern amenities to ensure a comfortable and luxurious stay. Guests can choose from a variety of accommodation options, ranging from Classic Rooms to the ultra-luxurious Club InterContinental Villas. Every room features high-speed Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, plush bedding, spacious bathrooms with premium HARNN Amenities toiletries, and private balconies or terraces offering breathtaking views of the sea, lagoon, or gardens.

Premium Club Lounge Access Ocean View Room

During our stay, we were accommodated in the Classic Pool View Room. The room’s spacious design and picturesque pool views kept our spirits high despite the rainy weather. The large, comfortable bed and soaking in a bubble bath in the standalone bathtub provided a haven of relaxation, embodying the resort’s commitment to unparalleled luxury. The room’s ambiance, with its stylish décor and thoughtful amenities, truly made for an inviting and serene retreat.
For ease of movement around the expansive property, guests can utilize the 24/7 buggy service, which conveniently transports them to any part of the resort, including the private beach access.

The InterContinental Phuket Resort is well-equipped with a plethora of facilities to cater to every guest’s needs. The resort features five swimming pools, including a beachfront pool, ensuring guests have ample options for relaxation and recreation. The fully equipped gym allows fitness enthusiasts to maintain their workout routine, while the kid’s club provides a fun and safe environment for children, giving parents some much-needed downtime to enjoy everything the resort has to offer!

Pinto Restaurant

Culinary delights await guests at the resort’s six distinct restaurants, each specializing in unique cuisines. Hom and Jaras, in particular, have earned spots in Thailand’s Michelin Guide, offering an exquisite dining experience. Pinto restaurant, inspired by Old Town Phuket’s vibrant shophouse history, serves as a marketplace-style dining venue. From lavish continental buffet breakfasts to freshly prepared lunches and dinners, Pinto offers a culinary journey that combines contemporary elegance with the warmth of home-cooked meals that ensure a memorable dining experience.

For a more exclusive resort experience, the Club InterContinental offers complimentary afternoon tea, evening cocktails, and a private adult-only pool. This exclusive access is essential for guests seeking a quieter, more refined retreat. The club also serves a delectable ala carte breakfast, complemented by a limited spread of freshly baked loaves of bread and jams, providing a peaceful alternative to the bustling breakfast buffet at Pinto.

Pine Beach Bar

As the sun sets over the horizon, Pine Beach Bar is the perfect spot for evening relaxation, offering classic bar snacks such as crisp salads, hand-made pizzas, and burgers, along with freshly made Thai dishes. Guests can enjoy delightful ocean views and the company of friends while sipping on signature cocktails. During our stay, we were treated to a taste of home with guest bartenders from Nutmeg and Clove, who crafted local drinks like Oo-long Time No Tea and Oh My Jasmine, adding a unique touch to our beachside experience. The bar’s fire show at sunset (weather permitting) adds a spectacular ending to the day.

Sati Spa

No stay at the resort is complete without a visit to the Sati Spa. This sanctuary of relaxation offers a variety of treatments designed to rejuvenate the body and mind. One of the most popular treatments is the 60 or 90-minute Balinese Massage, which allows guests to choose from six different massage oils. The skilled therapists at Sati Spa ensure a deeply relaxing experience that melts away stress and leaves guests feeling revitalized.

In conclusion, the InterContinental Phuket Resort is nothing short of spectacular. Its majestic Sawan pavilion, luxurious accommodations, and exceptional amenities create a haven of tranquility and elegance.
