Calling all sushi lovers – Maguro Yukimitsu, a brand new casual sushi concept, has recently opened its doors at Takashimaya! Opened by Misaki Megumi Suisan, a wholesaler of maguro (tuna) and sashimi that hails from the Kanagawa Prefecture in Japan, Maguro Yukimitsu is a cosy 16-seater casual concept focused on fresh, high-quality maguro in its various forms, from sashimi and sushi, to hand rolls, platters and more substantial dons.

Matsu Sushi

Speciality highlights would be the Maguro Zukushi (S$38.80), a treat for maguro-lovers – a platter consisting of four cuts of maguro along with negitoro temaki, as well as the indulgent Toro Uni Don (S$39.80), where Japanese rice is topped with fatty tuna belly and melt-in-your-mouth, umami sea urchin. We also enjoyed the Matsu Sushi (S$31.80), a variety platter wonderful for sharing, consisting of sushi topped with hotate, unagi, ikura and others. Or treat yourself to the eight-piece Premium Otoro Roll (S$32.80), where slices of fatty tuna belly are draped over mounds of fluffy vinegared Japanese rice.
