No Signboard Seafood celebrates its 40th Anniversary this year with a special 40% discount off all Crab dishes from 16 May – 13 June 2021, as well as highlighting their iconic crowd favorites.

Any meal at No Signboard Seafood is incomplete without their fresh, meaty crabs from Sri Lanka. We enjoyed the signature White Pepper Crab which produces a milder spiciness compared to the more well-known Black Pepper Crab. Yet, we enjoyed how the dish is distinctively sweeter and brings out the sweetness of the crab’s flesh. You can have your White Pepper Crab with Sri Lanka Crab Medium (S$100/kg), Sri Lanka Crab Large (S$120/kg), Dungeness Crab (S$128/crab), Snow Crab (S$230/kg) or Alaska Crab (S$230/kg).

Besides their signature White Pepper Crab, No Signboard also serves other Crab dishes such as the uniquely Singapore Chilli Crab which has distinctive Peranakan flavours from the use of a handmade chilli paste and a variety of herbs such as lemongrass. For a more modern take on Crab dishes, diners can opt to add Korean rice vermicelli or macaroni at S$18 per serving which will help to soak up the rich and flavourful sauces.

Butter Prawns

While No Signboard Seafood serves up amazing Crabs, they are also loved for their local dishes. The Deep-fried Butter Prawns was expertly fried to produce a superbly crisp outer layer before being topped with a crispy butter floss made from carnation milk and butter. This was a dish that had us cleaning the bowls for every bit of floss. Do note that there is a minimum order of 6 pieces for the live prawns (S$6.00/pc) and 4 pieces for king prawns (S$15.00/pc).

Fish

The other dish that you should try at No Signboard Seafood is the Seasonal Fish in Claypot (Seasonal Price). The dish features seasonally fresh caught fishes like Soon Hock which is cooked in a claypot that gives it the flaky, tenderful meat that peels off nicely with a fork. The fish is then accompanied with a comforting pork bone broth that is simmered for 6 hours. Pair this dish with rice and you have a very comforting meal at home.

Prawn Mee Goreng

No Signboard Seafood also has a Local Style Mee Goreng (Small: S$18.00, Medium: S$28.00, Large: S$38.00) that comes with wok-fried thick yellow noodles with fresh prawns, cuttlefish and chunks of diced fish with chye sim.

Coconut Pudding

For a sweet ending to your seafood feast, do have the signature Teochew ‘Orh-Nee’ Yam Paste (S$10.00) which is made in-house. The yam paste was smooth and not too sweet and comes with gingko nuts. They also serve a chilled Coconut Pudding with Sago & Gula Melaka (S$8.00) that is typically not found in Chinese restaurants. The smooth coconut pudding is perfectly paired with a decadent brown palm sugar syrup and sago pearls for extra textures.
