Hailing all the way from Nicaragua, the world’s first carbon neutral and fair trade certified spirit from, Flor De Caña, has announced the return of its annual Sustainable Cocktail Challenge 2023, an initiative spurred from the brand’s ongoing mission to instill sustainable practices within the bar industry global alcohol industry and educate consumers to embrace responsible consumption and reduce food waste for a greener future.

This year’s challenge has roped in bars from all over the world, including 11 bars within Singapore alone for a full month of sustainable cocktails made with Flor De Caña 12 as a base until the end of July that will pit contenders against each other in local finals before moving on to the APAC regionals and eventually vying with international contenders to earn the title of Flor De Caña’s Sustainability Champion alongside a grand prize of US$10,000.

Cocktail connoisseurs can look forward to experiencing innovative creations by renowned establishments such as Employees Only Singapore, Nighthawk Bar, Smoke & Mirrors, Gibson Bar, etc. Following the end of the local campaign and after a virtual judging round, the Top 10 finalists will be selected to then battle it out on 28th August 2023 at The Bar @ 15 Stamford where a local champion will be crowned, who will then proceed to flaunt their winning tipple at the APAC Regional finals before eventually attending the Global final in Nicaragua in 2024 to compete for the title of Flor De Caña World’s Most Sustainable Bartender with a grand prize of US$10,000.
