Little Bao by Asia’s 50 Best Female chef 2017 and restaurateur May Chow is bringing her popular signature Bao’s from Hong Kong to Singapore for a two night pop-up happening from 28-29 February at Junior The Pocket Bar.
The exclusive pop-up menu features Little Bao’s signature Fried Chicken Bao (炸三黃雞包), a big indulgent piece of fried chicken between two buns, topped with Chiangkiang black vinegar glaze and Little Bao’s homemade Szechuan peppercorn mayo.
Inspired by the Hong Kong Cha Chaan Teng signature, the “Stir Fried Beef Noodles” Fries “(乾炒牛河”薯條) the classic Stir Fried Beef Noodles is transformed into crispy French fries topped with saliva-inducing beef crunch, bean sprouts, yellow chives, onion, and scallion. This popular sharing side is apparently the top favourite sharing side in Hong Kong.
That’s not it, have a sweet ending with this exclusive Little Bao staple Ice Cream Bao, inspired by Singaporean flavors in collaboration with the local ice cream brand Apiary Ice Creamery.
Bartender and owner of Asia’s 50 Best Bar, Junior The Pocket Bar will also be curating a few cocktails to complement Little Bao’s dishes including the Mushroom Peppercorn Martini, this cocktails represents Hazel’s deeply-rooted artisanal approach, combining unorthodox umami flavors with a kick from the peppercorn, against the elegant Yuzu-focused gin base. There’s also the whiskey based Pineapple Soy Sauce Highball, a playful essence that binds both Junior The Pocket Bar and Little Bao.
The Little Bao x Junior The Pocket Bar Pop-Up is not accepting any reservations and only by walk-in.
