The sounds of bells jingling can only mean one thing – Christmas is here! There’s no better way to show your appreciation to your loved ones than the only way Singaporeans know how – a delicious meal with only the freshest and indulgent creations. Let the professionals take the lead this year as we put together a list of fancy restaurants that are full of festive cheer and are open during Christmas!

Fiamma at Capella

Indulge in timeless classics over at Fiamma, where Chef Mauro Colagreco has curated soulful yet comforting Italian dishes that are sure to excite the senses. In the spirit of Christmas, the dishes are made to share. The Crudo Di Capesante is a scallop carpaccio with ginger honey dressing and pine nuts for a lovely play on textures, while we just couldn’t get enough of the Risotto Ai Gamberi Rossi Di Mazara, a homely red prawn risotto with a spitz of citrus and plenty of cheese. And of course, the Monte Blanco with a Chestnut cream ends the meal on a sweet note, with the option to water down any last conversations with a hot tea or espresso.

Celebrate the eve of Christmas at MO Bar by imbibing special Chivas concoctions with their Happy Hour packages after their festive afternoon curated with sweet and savoury treats.

Ring in Christmas Day with Brunch at Melt Café, where the spread of succulent roasts and holiday desserts like Christmas Pudding served with Brandy Sauce and Christmas Fruit Cake are sure to satisfy even the pickiest loved one. Over at Cherry Garden, the dim sum restaurant has created special dishes just for Christmas like Braised Pig Trotter and Pan-fried Sliced Turkey, putting a Chinese twist on the quintessential turkey dish by cooking it Chinese style with garlic and pepper sauce.

Go back to basics with a traditional Italian feast at Dolce Vita, where you can pick from a 5-course Christmas Eve Dinner featuring Catalan-style Lobster Salad, Special Riserva Acquerello Rice and Pan-seared Black Angus Beef, or an indulgent Christmas Day Feast with pickings like Slow-cooked Veal Loin, Pumpkin Risotto with braised lamb shank, Oven-baked Turkey with red wine jus, and Pumpkin Pie.

L'Angélus_3-Course Festive Menu

L’Angelus

Known for serving up scrumptious Parisian food sine 1998, L’Angélus is celebrating this holiday season with its festive three-course Festive Menu ($98). Curated by Head Chef Benjamin Yip, hungry diners can indulge in delicious mainstays, such as the luxurious Légine Glacée au Miso, Beurre D’oursin (Miso Glazed Deep Sea Australian Toothfish, Murasaki Uni Butter), the comforting Magret de Canard à l’Orange (Crispy Skin Moulard Duck Breast, Orange Reduction, Celeriac Purée) or the succulent and decadent Le Pot-Au-Feu Revisité (Slow-Cooked US Short Rib, Marrow and Vegetable Dumpling, Beef Broth).

For entrees, diners will be spoiled for choice to choose between the Foie Gras Poché, Velouté d’Artichaut, (Truffe Fraiche Poached Foie Gras, Black Truffle Artichoke Velouté, Fresh Autumn Black Truffle) Dyade d’Huîtres et de Saint-Jacques, Gelée de Shiso et Concombre (Hyogo Oyster, Hokkaido Scallop, Cucumber and Shiso Jelly, Parsley Root Purée) and Tartare de Bœuf, N25 Baerii Caviar (Hand-Cut Black Angus Beef Tartare, N25 Caviar). Every single one of these dishes will help to kick start the meal on a high note before moving to the second course!

End the meal on a sweet note with two delightful options – Mont Blanc or Omelette Norvégienne. The latter is also commonly known as Baked Alaska and flambéed tableside with a robust dark rum. The Assiette de Fromage cheese platter is a savoury option featuring three kinds of seasonal unpasteurised French farm cheeses especially if guests are opting for a wine pairing to go along with their food!

JAAN by Kirk Westaway

Inspired by Chef Kirk Westaway, Christmas dinner at two Michelin-starred restaurant Jaan is as an eight course degustation menu, showcasing the finest of modern British cuisine. Begin with a selection of snacks with a glass of Krug Grand Cuvee, before moving on to White Crab topped with Kristal caviar and a creamy Roast Potato & Leek soup. Then, treat your tastebuds to Blue Lobster with Egg Yolk Ravioli, Cornish Seabass Fillet, and a Venison Loin with Goose Liver and Cranberry. For dessert, savour the Pear Tartlet with English vanilla custard and rich muscovado caramel, and velvety vanilla ice cream served on the side.

Festive Menu Spread

Osteria Mozza

In traditional Italian-style, Chef Nancy Silverton has curated a family-style four course menu for Christmas starring her signature hearty selections of antipasti and pastas. The festive meal kicks off with a cured meat platter of finocchiona salami and chicken liver parfait. Choose between tortellini with beef broth or corzetti, a round pasta cooked just like how your grandma would with tomato, eggplant and housemade ricotta, before moving onto a delicious chicken porchetta with brown gravy and Iberico ham with a sweet honey glaze. Not to forget the sharing plates of focaccia with chestnut stuffing, fried Brussel Sprouts, and Japanese sweet potatoes. Make sure to leave room for dessert as you don’t want to miss the peppermint gelato profiteroles with hot fudge and creme fraiche!

If you’re dining at Osteria Mozza during December but not on Christmas Day, you might still be able to enjoy a taste of Christmas as there will be daily specials from the festive menu.

The newest Italian kid in town LUCE is celebrating its first Christmas with plenty of festive treats including a buffet lunch, set dinners and a Sunday brunch experience. The Festive Semi-buffet lunch is great for work celebrations and quick catchups, with pickings like Italian classic dishes Acquerello Risotto and Hamburger all’ Italiana con Patatine Fritte, and desserts like Chocolate Yule Log. For dinner, Chef Davide is going all out to impress with a 5-course Christmas set menu including Astice, Fungi e Homardine, a poached live Boston lobster with wild mushrooms, and Wagyu, Carciofi e Intingolo, a slab of wagyu MB6-7 beef ribeye charred to smoky perfection. For dessert, the Heritage “Castagna” is a chestnut cream with Tahitian vanilla, berries compote, crispy meringue with frozen “heritage” tea. Not forgetting the little ones, the 3-course Children’s set menu for the little ones has homemade Tomato Soup, Mini Wagyu Beef Sliders and a decadent Chocolate Brownie for dessert.
