LUCE by Davide Giacomelli Launches Its New Boozy Italian Sunday Brunch

Wanting to showcase the best of Italian street food and traditional dishes, LUCE by Davide Giacomelli has launched an Italian Bistronomic Champagne Sunday Brunch that features an extensive buffet line of seafood and sashimi that includes freshly-shucked oysters, boston lobsters, snow crab leg, tuna sashimi and tiger prawns. A wide selection of imported cheese and cold cuts from Italy such as Grana Padano, Mozzarella, Taleggio, Mortadella, Cured Ham and Soppressata are also available.
Guests will get the chance to indulge in one of Chef Davide’s Italian classics – Gazpacho Di Pomodori which is a savoury cold soup and one of chef’s favourite summer recipes, as well as the refreshing Mozzarella and Tomato Skewers. Another chef’s favourite is the Eggs a l’ Amatriciana, an upgraded take on a brunch classic dish that eses authentic pancetta bacon, red onions, a sunny-side up with a perfectly runny yolk smothered in an amazing tomato sauce
Typically known as called “elephant ear” and the signature dish of Lombardy, the stunning Orecchia di Elefante, is a bone-in, thinly sliced tender veal meat that is breaded and fried in clarified butter, resulting in an tender irresistible flavour mixed in the right amount of fat with from the veal.
Lastly, guests can look forward to a live theatrical experience of chestnuts being slowly roasted over flaming firewood and freshly-made pasta delicately twirled inside a cheese wheel with the Mafaldine Cacio e Pepe in a parmesan cheese wheel that is cooked by Chef Davide Giacomelli himself!
Other highlights include a variety of hand-tossed Italian Pinsas that features a delicious cloud-like crisp crust – a healthier variation of the quintessential pizza that does not sacrifice on flavour! Indulge in classic flavours such as the Margherita and Four Cheese; or fancier creations including the Rustica Pinsa, topped with Scamorza cheese that gives off a smokier and nuttier flavour profile.
End the weekend brunch on a sweet note with a wide range of desserts handcrafted by Executive Pastry Chef Desmond Lee. The highlights include the well-loved LUCE-misu, a sweet treat made with Mascarpone cream, espresso syrup, lady finger sponge and crunchy feuilletine, Crunchy Choux Pastries, Baked Cheesecake, Crostata Pistachio Strawberry Frangipane and a live dessert station serving up freshly made Crêpes Suzette topped with Caramel Orange Sauce.
