Pizza Express Launches Exciting Flavours For Singapore’s National Day Like Chicken Satay Pizza And Beef Rendang Pizza

As August nears, we get treated to an abundance of Singapore-inspired products and treats thanks to the nation’s birthday. Pizza Express will be bringing back their much-loved Laksa Pizza on 2 August, whilst launching three new ‘Uniquely Singapore’ flavours.

The Beef Rendang Pizza is a flavorful burst of spice with every bite. The Pizza Express rendition of this dish sees juicy chunks of beef rendang over rendang sauce and peppered with red onions and red chilli for that spicy kick. If you can’t handle the heat, pick out the chili seeds cos those tiny little things pack a heaty punch!

The Chicken Satay Pizza uses the peanut dripping sauce as a nutty sauce base, and has chicken thigh strips, dollops of mozzarella cheese, red chili, and cucumber cubes that give it a spicy and crunchy bite. It does certainly remind us of those grilled chicken skewers we get from the hawker centres!

The Tandoori Chicken Pizza pays homage to the spicy history of Indian cuisine. The spice laden pizza is laoded up with passata, mozzarella cheese, marinated chicken, red peppers, cucumber strips and drizzled with a mint yoghurt sauce for a refreshing tartness

A returning favourite, the Laksa Pizza is an eponymous dish that has its origins as hawker food. With a homemade laksa sauce base, the quintessential dish comes topped with prawns, mussels, squid, clams, quail’s eggs and fried beancurd.

All the National Day pizzas are Romana pizzas, which comes with a bigger, thinner, and crispier base so that you can enjoy the crust without stuffing yourself full with too much carbs. The 11” pizzas are S$26, and will be served fresh through takeaway or delivery for the month of August. For best eating experience, heat up your pizzas just before you eat them – we used an air fryer to make the crust toasty and crispy!
