The Bay Hotel Singapore Presents The Feast of Fire & Ice this Christmas Season

This upcoming Christmas season, The Bay Hotel Singapore rides on the most-watched American fantasy television series  – Game of Thrones and has came up with The Feast of Fire & Ice based on the popular GOT theme.

Across the narrow sea (of the Singapore Straits) sits Rumah Rasa, a traditional halal Indonesian restaurant that serves up authentic Indonesian dishes. With the well-known fiery spices of Indonesian cuisine, The Feast of Fire will feature their chef’s rendition from the Seven Kingdoms.

The Feast will include Walder Frey’s Chicken Waldorf as part of the appetizers before moving on to the buffet spread of spicy items such as Beef Balls in Fiery Sambal Bajak, Baked Spicy-stuffed Cincaru Sambal Tomat Chilli padi and Stir-fried slipper lobster with shrimp paste sambal- all of which are sure to make you recoil and experience the awesome spicy flavours coupled with the various ingredients.

Seafood lovers can rejoice and balance out the heat with the Dothraki Sea on Ice, a generous selection of scallops, crab claws, mussels, crayfishes and juicy poached prawns perched on a bed of frigid ice.

Outside, over at The Wall Carving carvery kiosk, one can find Leg of the Lamb Tikka with Mint Raita well-marinated and drizzled with homemade mint yogurt. Roasted Balinese Turkey Betutu, a popular dish from Lombok Indonesia will also be freshly carved for all your protein cravings

The highlight will be Drogon’s Fire Oysters which their in-house chef will shuck huge (and I mean HUGE) fresh oysters and grill them on the BBQ pit. Feel free to add on your choice of spiciness and let the flesh slide down your throat and breathe fire (dracarys!) like Drogon. Don’t worry, for these juicy oysters will have you eyeing and grabbing them when they’re still hot on the grill!

End off your mighty feast with a sweet note by savouring Sansa & Arya’s Stolen Fruit & Dessert House or be surprisingly delighted by their homemade Red Wedding Cake as well as the Berries Panna Cotta Cake.

Once you’ve had your fill of feasting, head up to the rooftop of the Bay Hotel (or the wall for hardcore fans out there) for Propeller, the first rooftop bar in the Harbourfront district which overlooks Sentosa and Keppel Harbour. Besides enjoying the amazing bird’s eye view while on Night Watch duty(In case any white walkers come through), be sure to enjoy the White Chocolate and Vanilla Walker Cocktail. The brew is concocted by mixing white chocolate liquor with Blue Curacao then topped with vanilla cream soda.

Mother of Dragon Cocktail

If you are fan of bubbly, do not miss out on the Mother of Dragons Champagne, which comes literally smoking as you sip on the bubbly and savour the dragonfruit balls inside. As the temperature plunges this Christmas, also try The Winter Is Coming Flaming Cocktail that is reminiscent of what Cersei Lannister set off on Blackwater Bay – a sea of wildfire. All cocktails will be priced at $18++.

Should you want your arrow’s aim straight and true, opt for the Three-eyed Raven Mocktail, a concoction of Rose and Kiwi syrup topped with soda then garnished with three blueberries. Each diner will be entitled to one mocktail on the eve of Christmas and New Year’s.

It includes one night in the exclusive Queen Daenerys’ room, Feast of Fire & Ice buffet for two persons, tickets to Propeller’s New Year Eve’s countdown party which provides free-flow of sangrias, tapas, two house drinks, free fireworks, a complimentary minibar, breakfast and late check-out. The exclusive package price starts from $238++.
