ClickAFood: Five Different Culinary Concepts Under One Roof For A Gastronomic Journey

The newest F&B concept by singer-songwriter Hong Jun Yang unites five different cuisines under one roof in the heartlands following his previous ventures The Original Thai Boat Noodle Singapore and Machi Machi Singapore.
Known as CAF for short, the pastel-themed café ClickAFood is located in Paya Lebar. Even though it just opened its doors recently, the neighborhood café is packed on weekday night with a queue outside the café waiting to try the new kid on the block.
Inspired by communal dining and travelling, Junyang hopes that ClickAFood will be a café without borders of sorts where diners can take their tastebuds across the globe whilst still being able to dine with your friends who have different tastes. The prices are also wallet-friendly, giving you the most bang out of your buck for iconic dishes.
Repping Singapore is 168 发 with the 168 Nasi Lemak. The star dish is currently the sole item on the menu, with more to come soon, but it deserves the attention. The plate of nasi lemak comes with 2 pieces of juicy and well-seasoned chicken wings, blue pea coconut rice, and all the garnishings like ikian bilis, sunny side up and fresh cucumbers. The coconut rice was fragrant, but the sambal fell a bit short on making the dish a satisfying one.
Over at Thaitanium, tuck into traditional Thai fare like Pad Thai, Chicken Kra Pow, and Crab Meat Omelette Fried Rice. The Crab Meat Omelette Fried Rice is sinfully delicious, with a blanket of fluffy omelette covered in chunks of crab meat. Drizzle a bit of the homemade Thai Chilli Sauce to give a bit of spicy kick, and we felt like we were back on the streets of Bangkok!
Korean Mama serves up classic Korean favourites like Korean Andong Jjimdak and Army Stew. The Andong Jjimdak reminded us a lot of its Chinese counterpart with the braised chicken in a soy sauce. Packed with potatoes, sweet potato glass noodles, slices of carrots and dried chilli, the dish felt like we were served dinner at someone’s house. And it comes in a sharing portion for 3 to 4 pax or a single portion.
Another favourite amongst the diners is the Seoul Army Stew, which easily feeds 2. The pot comes bubbling with all the quintessential ingredients including hotdogs, tofu, kimchi, fishcqake, baked beans, rice cakes, and ramyeon. Customize the level of spiciness, and add in extra toppings from just $1.50 if you’re feeling peckish.
Sometimes you’re just not in the mood for Asian food Fig & Fiddle is the Western side of the menu, with Fish & Chips, burgers and pizzas. The Nemo Burger is a twist on the simple British fare of fish & chips with a massive golden battered fish fillet sandwiched in between a buttered bun. Slathered with cheese and homemade tartare sauce, the burger brought our ‘fish and chips in a burger’ fantasy to reality.
The Duo Combo Pizza lets you pick two flavours to enjoy the best of both worlds – choose from the classic Margherita, Beef Pepperoni, Hawaiian, Cheese Pizza and the 80s Supreme.
The drinks menu, called 喝 (he), is packed with morning caffeine fuel and the local favourite bubble tea. Their coffee uses beans from PPP Coffee in a special weekday inhouse ‘Weekdays Only’ blend that has a rich fragrance of roasted nuts and dark chocolate.
For something more refreshing in Singapore’s heat, get their signature Mango Coconut, a mango slushie with juicy chunks of nata de coco jelly. The Red Bean Lover is on the savoury side, with red bean puree and topped with a cream cheese foam.
