We covered the launch of Nagai previously and their omakase menu. Since then, Nagai Hokkaido Cuisine has launched a new seasonal executive set meal and expanded its lunch sets to more than 30 items. Business executives in the Suntec area can expect to enjoy an intimate atmosphere, as well as premium ingredients that are sourced from the freshest prime sources.
The Singapore branch of Nagai Hokkaido Cuisine is spearheaded by Chef Makoto Nagai, who has been learning and training under his father, Shinichiro Nagai, for 54 years. Chef Makoto has been working at the same restaurant in Japan for 16 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the new Singapore location.
The Tarabagani Red King Crab, with its tempting, fleshy meat and springy texture, reigns supreme as the most luxurious and expensive of all King crabs. This rare, tantalizing delicacy is not easily found, making it an exquisite treat for the discerning palate.
Nagai’s talented chefs elevate this sprawling crustacean in their executive set. The limited executive set (S$59.80) immerses you in a sumptuous crab experience, featuring the Tarabagani Red King Crab artfully shredded over fragrant, perfectly cooked Japanese rice. This decadent meal is further enhanced with a rich, velvety crab soup, intricately grilled Tarabagani crab, jewel-like salmon roe, and silky chawanmushi.
For enthusiasts of King Crab who relish in the purest flavours, Nagai presents whole Kegani Crabs (Hairy Crabs) (S$158/400g) to tantalize your taste buds.
Handpick your crab to be masterfully steamed, embodying the time-honored culinary tradition, and accompanied by an aromatic duo of dipping sauces: zesty ginger and tangy vinegar.
