Sate your cravings for Mexican food at Mad Mex, which hails from Australia and opened its first restaurant in Singapore at Marina Bay Financial Centre, Tower 3 on September 2019.

With their motto ‘Fresh Fuel For Life’, you can expect authentic, delicious and healthy Mexican dishes: tuck into a hearty Burrito or Quesadilla, or flavourful Tacos and Ensalada! Even better, you can customise your food to suit your dietary or personal requirements, be it gluten-free, vegetarian or vegan options. Made with fresh, ethically-sourced ingredients, you’ll be sure of a fulfilling meal – Mad Mex’s recipes are also available online along with a nutritional calculator for those who are health-conscious.

As shared by the founder and CEO of Mad Mex, Clovis Young: “I started Mad Mex in 2006, because I absolutely love Mexican food, and I wanted to share that love with all of Australia, and the world. I wanted my customers to get a fast meal with homemade quality, made entirely of real ingredients. That means the fewest preservatives, oils and sugars – while always big on taste. You should never have to choose between a quick meal and quality healthy food.”

Take your pick from various fillings for the dishes, with offerings including Chicken Pollo, Veracruz Tofu (Vegetarian/Vegan option), and the signature slow-cooked Beef Barbacoa (extra $0.50). Then, spice up your dish – because Mad Mex offers three salsas of varying levels of spice! the mild Roasted Tomato Salsa, the tongue-tingling Salsa Verde, and the mouth-numbing Spicy Picante Habanero. Each salsa is made from scratch with chillies that are directly imported from Mexico using traditional Mexican recipes. Also, there is no pork or lard used in the food served.

Burrito

For an all-in-one meal, go for the iconic Mexican dish: the Burrito (Small, $8.90; Regular, $11.50). Stuffed to the brim with brown rice, black beans, crisp lettuce, salsa and your choice of filling, all wrapped up in a soft tortilla, this classic roll is best eaten with sour cream to bring out the various spices and flavours.

For something lighter, but no less delicious, the Naked Burrito (Small, $8.90; Regular, $11.50) is a great alternative! With all the burrito goodness sans the flour tortilla, this dish can be customised to be gluten-free and/or vegan or vegetarian if you wish.

Burrito

Feeling peckish? Mad Mex offers Tacos (1 Taco for $4.50; 3 Tacos for $10.90) that are the perfect snack: soft pockets bursting with flavours and textures. Don’t be afraid to get messy for this!

If you prefer more of a crunch in your meal, go for the Nachos ($12.50), where toasty corn chips are draped with a thick cheese sauce filled with tomato and onion.

Quessadilla

Cheese-lovers will be delighted to know that Mad Mex’s Quesadilla (Regular, $11.50) is a dish that oozes with warm, melty, cheesy goodness; cementing the flavours of the spices and fillings together into one delectable comfort dish.

Finish off your meal with the classic Churros ($5.90): deep-fried to crisp perfection and topped with cinnamon sugar, served with bittersweet premium Belgian chocolate sauce. Or wash down the spice with a bottle of refreshing Jarritos ($4.50 per bottle), the colourful and popular Mexican soda in refreshing tropical flavours such as Guava, Lime and Mandarin.
