Transporting Singaporeans away from the scorching heatwave of our tropical island to a winter wonderland over this year’s festive season, the indoor attraction will be divided into two sections – the Snow and Ice sections.
In the Snow Section, the snow is created using the same snow-making machines used in the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022. Guests can try their hand at building their own snowman, making snow angels, and even bouncing off ‘snow clouds’, all while experiencing daily snowfalls of fresh snow. This area will also house a 70m snow slope, the longest and tallest snow slope ever constructed in Singapore.
The Ice Section runs parallel to the Snow Section and holds a variety of never-seen-before attractions, including Ice Bowling and Ice Curling, a classic Winter Olympic sport. The section will also feature a 260sqm ice cycling rink, with single and tandem bikes for couples exploring new date night ideas. The pièce de résistance of the Ice Section is the 4.5m high figure-8 Ice Slide, constructed purely out of ice and complemented by intricate ice sculptures crafted by master ice sculptors from Harbin, China.
Tired of worrying that your beverage will turn warm and stale due to the heat? Fret not as guests will never have to worry about their beer going lukewarm at the Ice Bar, where guests will be served a variety of ice cold beers and bespoke ice-themed cocktails to keep themselves warm during their frosty adventures!

Orchard Road‘s Christmas on A Great Street
Often deemed to be an annual tradition for many Singaporean families, Orchard Road has been decked out in Christmas lights and decorations for the 39th year running and the famous shopping strip has brought back more in-person experiences as the country returns to normalcy.
The focal point of the light-up, located at the junction of Orchard Road and Scotts Road, is the mesmerising main arch, with ornate Christmas trees decorated with reindeer and baubles on each side of the road to delight motorists and pedestrians as they cruise along the precinct.
Back by popular demand is the unmissable and spectacular 10-minute multimedia 3D projection show with augmented reality (AR) features that takes place each night from 7pm – 10pm on the façade of Mandarin Gallery facing Ngee Ann City. This is also home to the countdown clock for Christmas Day and the New Year’s Eve celebrations.
For the first time this year, the other façade of the same building facing Somerset will also be activated with multimedia 3D projection, delighting pedestrians all around. Spectators are treated to a specially curated Christmas show which offers a visual spectacle of past light-ups, a multi-tiered rotating carousel with galloping horses, a vibrant spinning ferris wheel, arcade games, and a stunning firework display in AR.
Making a comeback after a two-year hiatus, the much-loved Great Christmas Village returns to Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza from 7th December 2022 until Monday 2nd January 2023. The Great Christmas Village features fun-filled amusement rides and activities perfect for capturing images of festive memories, live festive music, and tantalising food & beverage (F&B) options.
