Wine Bar Salt & Palm’s New Brunch Menu is a Sign to Start Day-drinking

Wine and brunch at our newly discovered drinking hole in Joo Chiat is the perfect way to start the weekend. Having opened its Singapore outlet doors only earlier in March, Salt & Palm has launched a new day menu on the weekends and public holidays for some wine indulgence!
The wine bar with roots in Sydney has a huge selection of red and whites that complements the Mod-Sin flavours from Executive Chef Natasya Soetantyo, where you can expect Asian flavours mixed with healthy and fresh ingredients. Each dish is an exciting journey where familiar tastes and textures mix together, with healthy ingredients that do not compromise on flavour.
The highlight and resounding favourite is the Fried Quinoa, a healthier rendition of nasi goreng with quinoa as the base grain. The homemade bumbu paste is a mix of spices and herbs that packs some heat, and the flavourful dish is equally satisfying with its healthy and fresh ingredients. The yam keropok added a nice crunch, and could even doubleup as a side by itself.
The Poke Bowl is a well-rounded meal great for one or as a sharing bowl, with mixed grains cooked in a fragrant coconut and kaffir lime sauce, and topped with fresh salmon slices, Hokkaido scallops, sliced avocadoes and a gooey onsen egg. We also couldn’t get over the Grilled Soy Chicken, which comes with barley grains fried with corn and kaffir lime leaf alongside a chicken leg marinated in sweet soy sauce and garlic.
As you sip the afternoon away, share an Octopus Salad, an interestingly deceiving salad of greens, guava, orange, and sous-vide octopus in a sweet, sour, tangy sauce that is familiar to rojak lovers, and the Corned Beef Potato Cakes, a cubed potato patty topped with chunky beef.
The Pandan Ricotta Hotcakes doubles up as a main or dessert, with two fluffy pandan pancakes topped with shredded coconuts soaked in gula melaka and whipped pandan ricotta. Other vegan dessert include Vegan Pavlova and Corn Trifle, with the recurring healthy yet full of flavour twist from chef.
Salt & Palm is located at 467 Joo Chiat Road, Singapore 427678. The Day Menu is available on Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays from 11am – 3pm, and the Dinner Menu & drinks are available from Wednesday to Monday from 5pm till late.
