Boiler Room Takes Over Hong Kong on the First Weekend of May

Initially announced as a one day event, Boiler Room expanded over the weekend into a 2-day spectacle from the 3rd to 4th of May. Wan Chai Harbourfront will host the hugely anticipated return of Boiler Room after six years, and the underground fans are ready to go.

Saturday sees emerging talents from both local collectives and international acts, like the Triple Happiness Club & Friends, YETI Out, and 南洋派對 N.Y.P.D. Also on stage is Japanese artist nOrikO, who will be presenting a DJ set as POiSON GiRL FRiEND, blending ambient house, classical strings, and experimental electronic music inspired by musical genres from all over the world.

All eyes are on Sunday, with loaded bill featuring the likes of Xiaolin, Didi Han, rising UK electronic star Baby J, Singapore represent Darker Than Wax, and DJ Nobu from Japan. We’ve got our eyes on Yung Singh, who mixes garage, drum & bass, and Punjabi folk music, as well as Japanese music collective Tokyovitamin, who’s made of DJs Miyachi, Vick Okada, and Taro Imai. An exciting B2B set with Canadian Dj Jacques Greene and LA-based Singaporean producer Nosaj Thing are set to heat things up
