From 19 to 21 April, Skechers Sundown Festival is going all out to celebrate their 10th anniversary with a huge birthday bash. With a lineup packed full of musicians of every genre and plenty of film screenings and art installations, Skechers Sundown Festival will be bringing the best of the Asian arts scene together at Siloso Beach on Sentosa. This year is also the first time that the festival will be held over three days, expanding from its usual one-day affair.

Headlining the festival is popular Kpop group iKon, who will be closing the festival on the last day. Hip hop quartet Higher Brothers will be bringing their lit tunes to Siloso Beach, while EDM fans can look forward to live DJ sets from TOKiMONSTA and Laidback Luke.

IKON

MFBTY will also be making a rare appearance for fans who have been waiting for ages to catch the South Korean hip hop trio. Rising talents Justin Oh and Henry Fong will also be spinning electrifying DJ sets with their own remixes and beats that have entertained fans at festivals like Ultra. Dance till you drop with J-rockers Crossfaith, DJ Soda, Thai singer Keng Tachaya, and DJ Shogun. Post-rock band Big Ass hailing from Thailand will be making a return, after last performing at the 2014 edition of Sundown Festival.

There are plenty of local singers representing Singapore alongside the star studded lineup. Linying, Charlie Lim, THELIONCITYBOY, Shigga Shay and Sam Rui are just some of the acts that you can catch on the weekend.

The festival isn’t just about music – there are also other artsy events to look forward to. Two award-winning films will be screened for movie fanatics; Oh Lucy! follows a lonely office worker who stalks her English teacher all the way to America that won the hearts of critics at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival, and dark Chinese comedy Have A Nice Day is an offhand portrait of a post-communist society through the eyes of a lowlife gangster.

glamping tent

As with every festival, there will be a flea market and a food bazaar to keep you well-fed and occupied. Art collective Borneo Laboratory will be displaying their art installations which explores our relationship with nature in the face of our environmental crisis.

For the first time ever in all history of music festivals, Skechers Sundown Festival will also have a campsite for punters who want to really experience a full festival experience. You can choose from a glamping package that includes a pitched tent that comes with air mattresses or head to Freedom Camp to pitch your own tent. You’ll be just a short walk away from the festival at all times, and can finally live the beach life waking up to the sound of the waves on Siloso Beach.
