Mandarin Oriental Singapore’s all day dining restaurant Melt Café takes you for an exceptional dinner at their inagural Korean Fest from 21 to 30 September 2018.

Korean food lovers will get to enjoy popular Korean dishes as well as end your meal with all-time favourite Korean desserts.

We started our Korean food journey with the Kimchi before we headed to check out the Tteobokki ( hot and spicy rice cakes), Braised Short Ribs with kimchi; Kimchi Bokumbap ( kimchi fried rice with diced chicken) and our favourite Dakgangjeong ( Korean sweet and spicy fried chicken).

At the alfresco garden, is where all the barbecued meats are located, there you will find an assortment of succulent meats such as Chicken Bulgogi, Beef Short Ribs, Spicy Pork and Spicy Shrimp.

The main highlight of their Korean fest is their live station counter showcasing the Korean Seafood Pancake and the popular Army Stew comprising rice cakes, Korean fish cakes, leeks, sliced beef, mushrooms and more.. All prepared and served right before your very eyes. We also enjoyed the Kimchi Seafood Soup with beancurd which meets the standard of an authentic Korean way of cooking contrary to the Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup which lacks in flavour.

To cap your meal, Melt Café’s award-winning pastry chefs has also created delicious Korean desserts such as Korean Strawberry Cake, Fruit Ice Jelly, Orange Hallabong Gateaux and Tteok Mochi. Make sure not to leave the place without trying their Korean desserts which is one of our favourite highlights of our meal.

Aside from the Korean dishes, an extensive array of other local and international flavours is also available during the buffet, better not miss out the Boston Lobsters and freshly chucked oysters at the cold station with a selection of unique dips and dressings.

Overall, we enjoyed the Korean fest and although some of the Korean dishes might be a miss, majority of their dishes remains our favourite especially the Korean desserts and we still highly recommend everyone to do visit and try Melt Café’s Korean Fest!

Melt Café’s Korean Fest is priced at S$ 78 per person (Sunday to Thursday) or S$88 per person, (Friday and Saturday) inclusive of free flow juices.
