Launching on 3 December 2025 and accompanied by an immersive three-day exhibition at Stamford Arts Centre, the Bruichladdich Distillery is set to launch its highly anticipated annual Octomore Series 16 which is widely acclaimed for defying conventional wisdom on whisky age, peat, and maturation.
The new series comprises three strikingly different expressions, each crafted to showcase the unpredictability and power of Islay single malt. Octomore 16.1, matured for five years in first-fill bourbon casks at 59.3% ABV, has flavour notes of salted caramel and tropical fruit layered with dry campfire smoke, that develops into waves of chocolate, coconut, and earthy pepper.
Octomore 16.2, also aged for five years at 58.1% ABV, delivers a bolder flavor spectrum—its base distillate spends four years in Oloroso and Bordeaux casks before a decadent finishing in Madeira and Portuguese Moscatel, resulting in enveloping notes of roasted nuts, caramelized sugar, and dried fruit in a sweet swirling haze.
The final edition in the series, Octomore 16.3 is a showcase of provenance, made entirely from barley grown at Octomore Farm’s Church Field and matured in a triad of bourbon, Sauternes, and Pedro Ximénez casks at 61.6% ABV, delivering a richly honeyed, grain-forward profile layered with earth, salinity, and soft smoke.

To mark the arrival, Bruichladdich is hosting an artful multi-sensory pop-up. Open from 4 to 6 December at Stamford Arts Centre, the exhibition turns Octomore’s rebellious spirit into an evocative gallery experience full of scent, sound, and guided tastings. Attendees can explore the series’ innovation, sample the three new releases in a tasting flight (S$32 if purchased in advance, S$36 walk-in), and enjoy preferential prices on exhibition bottle purchases. Those completing the full Octomore journey with all three bottles will leave with a complimentary whisky tasting set.
The Octomore Series 16 is available islandwide and online at Cellarbration, with prices starting at S$280 for Octomore 16.1, S$298 for Octomore 16.2, and S$388 for the ultra-provenance Octomore 16.3.
The Octomore Series 16 exhibition will be held at Stamford Arts Centre, 155 Waterloo Street, Singapore 187962. Book your slot here
