After the success of the inaugural edition in 2025, Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore brings back Sakura Serenity Buffet. This year’s edition sees a special collaborative four-hands menu by Grand Copthorne Waterfront’s Michelin-trained Chef Elson Lee and Japanese Guest Chef Keiji Matoba who worked closely with Food Capital’s culinary team to co-create a menu that honours seasonality, balance and ingredient integrity while adapting seamlessly to the buffet format.
Sakura Serenity Buffet 2026 deepens the cultural storytelling by celebrating Japanese culinary heritage through authenticity, technique and thoughtful collaboration as well as to celebrate the 60 years of Japan–Singapore diplomatic relations.
Diners will be delighted by the buffet spread which includes a variety of Japanese cuisine from seafood, meat, grilled specialties and desserts. Highlighs include Chef Keiji Matoba’s Signature Wagyu Dish and Chef Elson’s Pitan Tofu, steamed Oysters with Sake, Traditional Sea Bream Craypot (Tai Craypot), Wagyu Beef Sandwich as well as desserts ranging from live japanese pancake station, Matcha Mille Crêpe, Hōjicha Panna Cotta, and Warabi Mochi.

Guests can also enjoy the Sakura Serenity experience with a Japanese-themed Sakura Afternoon Tea daily from 3:00-5:00pm at The Lobby Lounge. Each set features savoury items such as Hokkaido Tsukune, Japanese vegetable gyoza, Kinoko Sarada with plum sauce, and cold soba served with traditional condiments and sweet offerings such as Genmaicha Azuki macaron, green tea tiramisu, Hōjicha Portuguese egg tart, Japanese mochi, Goma Yuzu cake, alongside matcha mocha.
“At Grand Copthorne Waterfront, Food Capital is more than a dining venue, it’s a platform for cultural exchange through food.
