Level Up: Clarke Quay’s Newest Arcade, Live Music and Bar Destination

Level Up is a new concept in entertainment, combining a casual arcade bar paired with table games and live music in a comfortable and relaxing setting, that is ideal for after-work drinks with colleagues and hangout sessions with friends alike. Housed on the second story of a conservation shophouse which offers an unblocked view of the riverfront, Level Up is the latest destination to open its doors at the increasingly bustling Clarke Quay.

The unique lifestyle venue provides an interactive social setting to promote conversations and interaction. Combining a wide array of retro arcade games and drinking games with live entertainment from key local musicians including Wayne and Wayne, Level Up was conceived as a destination that eighties and nineties babies would resonate with, while millennials could still fit in seamlessly.

Comfortably accommodating a crowd of 250 within its 6,400 square feet premises, Level Up holds true to its ‘Eat, Drink, Play’ motto with its game offerings that include sporty options such as pool, foosball, air hockey, darts, basketball; drinking favourites like beer pong and popular arcade varieties including Street Fighter, Bishi Bashi, Time Crisis and Outrun, to offer something for everyone. Tokens, obtained when food and beverage are ordered or purchased individually; are used to operate these games.

A line-up of promising local and young musicians take turns to command centre-stage from Tuesdays to Saturdays while Sundays see the venue transforming into a family friendly establishment where kids are welcome.

The bar serves up casual bar fare with an Asian twist such as Salted egg fish skin, Spicy pulled pork sliders, Seaweed fries, Thai style ikan bilis and Oriental chilli gyoza, paired with an array of drinks and punchbowl options that are perfect for sharing.

Co-founder Mark Huang, 32, shares that “Level Up offers a multi-layer approach to its business by serving as a melting pot of talent with good local bands serving up great music nightly in a relaxed setting that aids interaction and conversation. With the arcade games available, Level Up is a place where people are able to reminisce their younger days and unwind with their friends for some good clean fun. The icing on the cake is the affordable refreshments offered that are made for sharing.”
