When it comes to Chinese New Year in Singapore, there’s nothing more Singaporean than the tossing of yusheng! Every gathering with friends and families during this season will start with the boisterous tradition of lo hei, where everyone gathers to toss yusheng and usher in prosperity, good fortune, and wealth.
Filled with ingredients to symbolize wealth, the yusheng platters are piled high with shredded vegetables, fish, abalone, and plenty of other delicious things!

Ye Ge will be celebrating its first ever Chinese New Year with the Prosperity Smoked Salmon Yusheng that pays homage to the time-honored tradition with a modern twist. Hop into the Lunar New Year with Soup Restaurant’s auspicious spread of dishes for the year ahead — including a luxurious Baby Abalone & Salmon Yu Sheng! Have an abundant lunar new year ahead this 2023 with the freshest seafood at True Cost, which takes pride in premium and fresh seafood at modest prices. Savour the Salmon Yusheng (S$38++), which comes with fresh and thick slices of salmon sashimi, alongside freshly julienned vegetables and a delightful citrus sauce. Besides that, indulge in their CNY special — the Seafood Lucky Tower (S$88++), which consists of 8 pieces each of scallop and salmon sashimi, unagi, Japanese oysters, prawns, crayfish, baby lobsters, and tobiko caviar.
Sip on some cocktails with these: the citrusy yet spirit-forward Tangerine Sour (S$11.88++), made with mandarin, gin and sambuca; or the refreshing Mandarin Mojito (S$10.88++) made with mandarin, rum and mint.

Issho Izakaya
Put a Japanese-twist into your Chinese New Year celebrations with the Issho Auspicious Yu Sheng that comes with fresh Norwegian salmon slices and signature Japanese plum sauce for a zesty flavour. Intricately arranged into the auspicious mandarin word, 吉 the yusheng is perfect for gloriously large gatherings as it serves up to twenty people! If you’re dining at one of their outlets, the Issho Prosperity Yu Sheng serves smaller groups, with portion sizes to feed 3 or 6 people.
