More Than Just Bubble Tea: At Tea 2.0 Redefines The Tea Drinking Experience

At Tea’s claim to fame originated from its founder, Taiwanese pop singer Jam Hsiao, as his bubble tea chain venture. After 3 years, At Tea has introduced At Tea 2.0, shedding its bubble tea status to become a tea concept that prioritises the authentic and personalised tea experience.
We start the experience by going back to the basics. The tea blends at At Tea has been curated and brewed to result in diverse flavours, with 5 Single Blend Teas that cover classic flavours like Roasted Oolong Tea, Cane Roasted Black, and the robust Pu-Erh Tea. Their Signature Blend Teas are a bit more adventurous and complex in flavours, with options like the sweet yet floral Chrysanthemum Osmanthus Tea if you’re craving something refreshing in the relentless heat or the earthy Genmaicha Cane Roasted Black Tea that has nutty and caramelised flavours.
After selecting your base, you can then customise how you would like your tea – with milk or with Oaty Fluff, toppings, and the sugar and ice level. At Tea has also introduced a no-added sugar incentive, where customers who choose not to add sugar into their drinks receive a 10-cent discount. They also offer the option of hot tea – yes, hot bubble tea is a thing!
Plant-based fans will also be happy to know that oat milk is offered as an option, and not charged as an upgrade like so many other restaurants. Every milk tea drink comes with an option of either fresh or oat milk, so that even those who prefer oat milk are able to enjoy it without having to pay extra. It’s the little things that count.
And even if you’re not a fan of oat milk, their new Oaty Fluff will win you over. The creamy layer of oat milk made from Oatbedient that sits on top of your drink is sweet and can be either stirred into the tea or drank together like a macchiato, where the sweet foam and the fragrant tea flavours mix with every gulp. We like the Oaty Fluff with the Cane Roasted Black Tea, as the malty black tea flavours complement the sweet creamy foam perfectly!
At Tea has the usual tapioca pearl toppings, but their jellies were a refreshing hit for us. You can select up to two toppings per portion, so you can mix toppings without having to sacrifice your tea for more toppings! There are three jellies – a refreshing Honey Jelly, the fragrant Oolong Jelly, and the sweeter Ruby Pomegranate Jelly – are all made fresh in house everyday, and adds just a tad of flavour and sweetness.
Don’t worry about the toppings and teas not tasting good together; their tea baristas will be more than happy to recommend pairings or just pick from their TEAriffic Infusion range. Try the Pink Meteor 945, which is a blend of Pink Guava, Perilla Plum and Pomegranate Ruby Jelly that is sweet, sour, and tangy flavours that will quench your thirst!
At Tea has outlets all over the island at Pasir Ris Mall, 313@Someret, JEM and Eastpoint Mall to satisfy your tea cravings.
