Sip on Specially Curated Chita Whisky Concoctions to Celebrate the Festive Season at Taki Izakaya Bar!

As the festive mood is just around the corner, everyone wants to catch up with their friends or loved ones over a delicious feast and wrap up 2021 on a high note.

From now until 14 January 2022, Chita Single Grain Whisky is collaborating with Taki Izakaya Bar to concoct four different cocktails that showcases its distinct sweet flavour and mild bitter-oaky intensity.

The Final Countdown (S$22.80++) is a rather sweet cocktail that will be a hit with the ladies with its honey and floral flavours due to the incorporation of sparkling yuzu sake. cranberry juice and just a touch of bubbly prosecco for a fizzy finish- a great tipple to have for Christmas or to countdown the new year with!

Putting a spin on a timeless classic, the Chita Bramble (S$22.80++) is the bar’s interpretation of an Old Fashioned cocktail. With it’s strong base flavour coming from the Chita whisky but a rather liberal usage of créme de cassis and syrup to temper the strong flavour and bring out the oaky notes for an additional layer of flavour to the drink- perfect for those who usually prefer a stiff drink after a long week!

Matcha lovers can rejoice as the Matcha Made in Heaven (S$22.80++) uses authentic matcha imported from Japan and incorporates its earthy and umami notes with Chita whisky. The resulting concoction is a smooth, citrusy tipple that is easy to drink and would be perfect for those who don’t partake in drinking too often.

Last but not least, the Aichi Onsen (S$38.80++) is a special cocktail that only uses two ingredients: warmed Chita whisky and genmaicha tea served in a teapot. While this cocktail is usually drunk in Japan during the winter season, the harshness of the Chita whisky is mellowed out while slowly mixing it with the smoky essence of the genmaicha- a welcome treat especially during the rainy season.

For those who enjoy their spirits neat or with ice, Taki Izakaya Bar is also holding a Grand Lucky Draw, where a purchase of 2 x Chita Bottles at S$288 (U.P.
