Changi Airport Group and Lotte Duty Free have raised the bar for whisky connoisseurship at this year’s World of Wines & Spirits (WOWS) Gala, held on 24 and 25 October under the “Wonders Reimagined” theme. WOWS 2025 delivered an exceptional showcase of rare, collectible whiskies, spotlighting the artistry and heritage behind some of the world’s most sought-after bottles.

This year’s line-up featured 63 rarities from 29 iconic labels, led by highlights such as the Johnnie Walker Vault Couture Expression, the Martell L’Or de Jean Martell Zodiac Edition – Assemblage du Cheval, and historic Macallan bottlings including the Fine & Rare 1965 and the Red Collection 71, 74, 78-Years Old.

A world-first blend, the Johnnie Walker Vault Couture Expression is a luxury collector’s set crafted in partnership between Master Blender Dr Emma Walker and French Creative Director Olivier Rousteing, merging rare whisky with haute couture artistry. A set of four bottles—Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter—each channels vintage malts (including ghost whiskies from Brora and Port Dundas), layered with seasonal complexity, and finished in metallic, gold-embellished design. The set, exclusive to just four global cities, was offered at S$103,800.

Unveiled as a pre-release for 2026, the Martell L’Or de Jean Martell Zodiac Edition celebrates the spirit of the Horse with rare eaux-de-vie and a blend dominated by Grande Champagne. Expect notes of honey, candied fruit, floral elements, and rich red fruit—packaged in Baccarat crystal with a sculptural horse-head stopper. With only two bottles available at WOWS, each was priced at SGD $14,500.

For those in search of historic significance, the Macallan Fine & Rare 1965 proved to be a jawdropping showstopper. Bottled in a year marking Singapore’s independence (and global innovation milestones), it was presented in a custom tantalus with Lalique crystal tumblers and ebony coasters—one set available for SGD $48,000. The Macallan Red Collection was even more exclusive, a full set featuring 71, 74, and 78-year-old single malts. These ultra-aged whiskies, among the rarest ever released by the distillery, offered extraordinary richness and complexity, housed in bespoke oak and Scottish leather presentation cases. The price for this trio reached SGD $368,200.

Throughout the multi-sensory gala, guests enjoyed Michelin-starred culinary pairings from Nouri, bespoke cocktails, and immersive performances that added to the spirit and conviviality of the occasion. The event’s blend of rarity, craftsmanship, and hospitality made WOWS 2025 a highlight on Singapore’s calendar—delivering experiences and bottles reserved for the truly passionate whisky and spirits collector.
