SHIPSOMNIA: The World’s First Themed Festival Vacation Cruise sets sail at cost of about US$2.5-million

Shipsomnia – a music & arts festival meets high seas mythical adventure has arrived. A one of-its kind, experiential 5-day festival vacation cruise to the hottest destinations in Asia with one of the world’s finest musical sommeliers on the grandiose Costa Victoria that would be propped out with a magical aquatic theme with a steampunk twist, where legends of the sea come to life.

Organised by Singapore-based lifestyle and entertainment outfit Mad Fresh Events comprising professionals in the travel and entertainment industry from Asia-Pacific, Europe and the United States, was conceptualised more than a year ago.

The 5 day – 4 night cruise will set off from Singapore on 2 January 2016, to Phuket and Langkawi with over 30 DJ’s from around the world in collaboration with one of the best clubs from Singapore/Kuala Lumpur (Kyo), Bangkok (KU DÉ TA), Bali (Velvet & Hypnotized), Shanghai (M2), Jakarta (Blowfish) and Hong Kong.

Mad Fresh CEO and Shipsomnia’s co-founder Alessandra Maderni says: “The idea behind Shipsomnia was to create an original music festival cruise concept like no other and is unique to Asia. Many festival cruises follow the same format, and it’s easy to fall into the trap of yet another pirates or sailor theme.

“We want to bring it to a whole new level to the likes of Tomorrowland of the sea in terms of Shipsomnia’s storyline. One of the main objectives is for people to experience it in a fun and creative way “
