Maison Margiela captures the excitement of going on a date in the warm sunset glow on a late summer evening in their latest ‘Replica’ scent, the signature collection loved for the experiences the scents bring to mind.

‘On A Date’ is a sensual aphrodisiac that explores the heady combination of wine and perfume, more specifically roses. The new Replica fragrance is a creative collaboration between master perfumer Carlos Benaim and sommelier Manuel Peyrondet, who sought to recreate the scents of rosé and red wine from the vineyards of Provence.

The notes of Damascena Rose Petal and Bergamot essence expresses the sweet feelings of seduction, while the Blackcurrant Liquor Accord and Patchouli rounds the fragrance with a woody aroma. The end result is a strong yet sultry unisex scent, and Benaim describes as “delicate and fresh floral notes with fruity inflexions that recreate the sweet feelings brought by seduction.”

The scent also comes in the ‘Replica’ candle, making a handy fix for any last-minute soirees or a finishing touch for a romantic candlelight dinner with the grape notes that are reminiscent of wine.
