The Launch of Scott Dunn at Six Senses Residences, Courchevel
The new ‘Scott Dunn at Six Senses Residences Courchevel’ are conveniently located in the heart of Courchevel 1850 and have been designed to offer guests the ultimate combination of five-star ski-hotel facilities with the independence of a serviced residence. The residences will be home to a brand-new on-site Scott Dunn Explorers kids club and first ever Stargazers club, available exclusively for guests of the residences, and allowing parents evenings off to enjoy Courchevel’s après ski. The residences also have access to dedicated ski concierge – meaning guests won’t have to lug their skis to and from the residences, so they can enjoy the cafés and bars in town, before catching the shuttle bus back. The Six Senses Lounge is a place for relaxing and socialising – including continental style breakfasts each morning, après ski drinks, pre-dinner aperitifs or sharing menus.
For some much-needed R&R after a day on the slopes residents can head to the renowned Six Senses Spa for a selection of soothing therapies. To ensure a seamless ski experience, guests have access to the Scott Dunn Guest Relations Manager, on-site 24-hour concierge on-site, a ski rental shop and a boutique, stocking a selection of ski equipment and clothing. A pre-arrival shopping service also ensures the pantry is stocked with all the favourites before landing. The 16, two-five bedroom spacious residences have been designed in traditional alpine style, with exposed wooden beams and porcelain tiles, with the comforts of modern technology. Each apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, Organic Pharmacy products, Apple TV, unlimited Wi-Fi and integrated iPads.
New Partnerships with Bugaboo & Progression Ski Enhance the Experience for Young Families Skiing in Val d’isere
Progression ski school in Val d’Isère will offer a new Ski Explorers programme for little ones aged 3 & 4 years old. Designed as a ‘bolt-on’ to the Scott Dunn’s Explorers kid club programme, younger children can now try skiing for the first time with the guidance of qualified ski instructors and under the watchful eye of Scott Dunn’s dedicated nannies. The Ski Explorers programme provides a taster for skiing – rather than a formal ski lesson – with the emphasis on having fun on skis and playing games, without the need for parents to enroll them in more formal ski school lessons.
The Ski Explorers Programme will be available three times per week with a maximum of six children in each group. Additionally, for guests looking to ease the load when travelling with young families, Scott Dunn now has an exclusive travel partnership in place with Dutch design brand, Bugaboo, who is best known for revolutionising the pushchair market. A fleet of Bugaboo pushchairs will now be available for guests at the Scott Dunn Explorers kids club in Val d’Isère with an all-terrain Bugaboo Buffalo to help guests Manoeuvre across the slopes, making it even easier for parents exploring the resort with the smoothest ride around town.
