Furla Pre-Fall 21 Pays Homage to Heritage and Craftmanship with Cheerful Optimism

Furla’s Women’s Pre-Fall 21 collection pays tribute to the company’s ‘Italianness’ and a celebration of its refined craftsmanship.

The entire collection is marked by modern, high-quality products with beautifully hand-crafted details, woven leather and exquisite embellishments, which perfectly represent Furla’s roots, its distinctly Italian DNA and its 90+ years of history, whilst always looking to the future. Pointing to the generation Z, Furla’s Pre-Fall collection features a variety of new smaller bag styles, multifunctional in use, which represent the perfect accessory from morning to evening occasions. Many of its pieces come with fabric shoulder straps, which enhance comfort and ease for the wearer and are especially appreciated by the younger brand lovers. Bright colours light up the collection and communicate a sense of fun and cheerfulness.

The collection can be divided into three main themes:

90s Fashion Archive Inspiration

The collection’s pieces are outstanding in their elegant simplicity, an aesthetic inspired by the 90s archive of the brand, but they surprise with bold details, including macro weaving, eye-catching metallic elements and a new reptile print pattern.

Launched for Pre-Fall but inspired by the fashion houses rich archives, Furla Moon, is a line of small sized multifunctional bags in Roma calf leather. With its slouchy shape it is a cool bag to wear under your arm, but thanks to its removable leather strap and fixed metal chain it can also be worn as a shoulder bag. Defined by its 90s archival closure, the Furla Essential line is composed of an ultra-soft, pillow-y pouch-clutch and mini vertical crossbody in nappa Sakai leather or in skilfully crafted open crochet Raffia fabric. Characterized by essential lines, its look is timeless and completely modern at the same time.

Craftsmanship: Modern Heritage

Furla Lipari is perfectly representative of Furla’s expert craftsmanship. The entirely new line features a classy, slim-line bucket shaped look with Furla arch detail and lateral hooks. It is proposed in a super-soft Roma calf leather version, or with bold macro leather weaving, or yet again in chic understated raffia. It embraces simple, clear lines and its very name, a reference to one of Sicily’s aeolian islands, pays homage to Italy. Comfort, stylish design and a bohemian spirit are united in the semi-structured Furla Margherita. Crafted in a suede and grained calf leather composition with woven handle, it is featured in chic earth colour combinations, reflecting Furla’s passion for top quality. Furla Margherita is the extension line of the best-selling Furla Net, which, for Pre-Fall, is offered in a mix of grained and smooth leather with colourblock effect. The sandals, ballerinas and sling-backs from Furla Code Lace celebrate simplicity of style and elevate the silhouette of the foot with striking slim wrap-around leather ankle laces. They come in nappa leather or a suede and nappa leather mix, all-black or in elegant two-tone arrangements.

For this season, Furla’s 1927 is updated with cool mini size crossbody bags. Structured in shape, this line is proposed in a new version in smooth cognac beige or polline yellow Roma calf leather with a handy removable Furla logo fabric strap with snap-hook, adding a cool utility touch to the accessory. It also comes in its more classic style with metal chain in lush python print leather.

#FunFurla and Colours

#FunFurla, Furla’s new brand message communicating a cheerful lifestyle whilst celebrating lightness of spirit and optimism, first launched with the Spring Summer 2021 ADV Campaign, remains a central theme for this season. Furla’s signature handbag Metropolis, both in its classic square shape, in its more recent round version and as mini vertical crossbody, is animated in pleasant, bright colours and featured with applications of hand-made micro-beads in mono-colour or with stripe optic resembling fun lucky bracelets.

For Pre-Fall it is also reimagined in a patchwork of differently coloured textured ares leather, suede and patent leather stripes or in a textured ares leather version with fun maxi polka dot print resembling a ladybird and adorned with a comfortable removable fabric shoulder strap with Furla logo print. The Furla Opportunity Tote is a maxi shopper of elegant, essential lines with double handle and metal feet studs. It is available in the Baiadera print version, a cheerful bright multicolour stripe fabric. It also comes in the blue denim Jacquard Furla Arch fabric, prominently featuring the Furla arch logo in a three-dimensional pattern. A cute slip-on mule to go with this bag is available in the same blue denim Jaquard arch style.
