Antoinette is a known leading brand when it comes to premium desserts that has since became a homegrown brand here in Singapore and to tourists alike. Every festive season they would have special creations to suit the celebration and i am always looking forward to the next creations to come out from their baking kitchen.
This Lunar New Year, celebrated Chef Pang of Antoinette has created brand new treats for everyone to usher in happiness, prosperity, good health and good luck this Year of the Dog.
Starting off this year’s exquisite collection is The Queen’s Yusheng (s$88.00), which was well received last year and due to the demand, it is back again this year. The Queen’s Yuseng is presented in the shape of a golden egg which is made from chocolate and inside is filled with five-spiced almonds, cashews, mandarin orange butter cake. Surrounding the egg is the golden ingots, meringue kisses, chocolate fish, yam and sweet potato chips. If you want something different from the traditional Yusheng, surprise your loved ones with this golden egg and hatch (break) it to welcome a year of filled blessings, prosperity and happiness!
Symbolizing sweet prosperity, the Orh Nee Cake which comes in individual size (s$10.00) and in 15cm whole cake (s$45.00) is another new creation this year. Created from fresh yam and pumpkin, this reminds me of the yam paste in a cake version. Presented in layers of yam mousse, yam cake and gula melaka and pumpkin cremeux with fried shallots, topped with a crunchy almond crumble and decorated with candied ginko nuts, the cake is maintained soft and in my own opinion it is best to be served chilled. This cake is good for four to eight pax sharing.
Another creation this year using Orh Nee is the Orh Nee Macaron (s$3.00 each, s$19.00 box of 6pcs), made with coconut dusted almond macaron shell and filled with candied pumpkin, fried shallot and coconut yam cream that brings out a nostalgic taste, this Macaron is perfect to share with your family and loved ones and best is, it is not that sweet which makes it guilt free.
CNY classics such as tidbits and snacks will always be a staple during this season as such, Antoinette is introducing the Antoinette “Singapura” Cookie Tin (s$24.00) which consists of six special local flavours such as Spiced Salted Egg cookies, which is my most favourite amongst all, the tin also got Curry & Cheese cookies, Ondeh Ondeh cookies, Kopi Susu cookies, Osmanthus cookies and Haebee Hiam cookies. all flavour cookies are made with premium ingredients to ensure that you are getting the very best quality in every bite. I also loved the Black Sesame cookie which is really so good and rich in flavour, i am sure everyone will love this!
Lastly, Antoinette has created a new version of everyone’s well-loved snack during CNY. Antoinette’s Chocolate Love Letter (s$20) is coated in a generous layer of premium chocolate which will surely entice the young and adults.
So this Lunar New Year, why not make Antoinette’s sweet creations be part of your celebration and spread the yummylicious delectable delights with your loved ones and usher in happiness, joy, love and prosperting!
