The Rioja Wine Dinner, exclusively at Raffles Singapore

Taste superb Spanish red wines at Rioja Wine Dinner at Long Bar Steakhouse, Raffles Singapore this Friday, 28th February 2014. The dinner opens a series of illuminating and enjoyable wine dinners which will take place throughout the year in Raffles Long Bar Steakhouse and Raffles Grill.

Hosted by Raffles Singapore’s Wine Director, Stéphane Soret, the Rioja wine dinner will showcase some of the finest and distinctive wines from Rioja, the most famous wine region in northern Spain.

Originally established 150 years ago as a most definitive Bordeaux style, Rioja has since evolved into its own distinctive style much appreciated by connoisseurs around the world.

A must have Rioja for the evening is the 2005 Telmo Rodrígues Lanzaga – from the Tempranillo, Graciano and Garnacha grapes, the floral bouquet has hints of red cherry and plum. This Rioja has been created by Telmo Rodríguez, one of Spain’s most celebrated winemakers. It is $48.00++ per bottle and available exclusively at Raffles Singapore.

Other Rioja’s available for the evening are: 2009 Alvaro Palacios Remondo Le Montesa and 2010 Bodegas Roda Sela. These delightful wines have been paired with an exquisite four-course menu specially created by Executive Chef Pierre Burgade.

The Rioja wine dinner is happening on Friday, 28th February 2014 at 7:00pm and is priced at SGD $188++ per person.
