Han-Na Chang is no stranger to the podium with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, and she will be returning to Singapore on 1 August 2025 with a fresh repertoire that resonates of heroic grandeur.

With her performer’s insight as a renowned solo cellist before taking up the baton, South Korean Han-Na Chang will open the night with Beethoven’s Egmont Overture, Opus 84, an energetic and emotional piece that takes you on a journey from struggle and darkness to a hopeful, triumphant finish.

Soloist Leila Josefowicz will join Han-Na Chang onstage for Berg’s Violin Concerto, dedicated to the “To the memory of an angel”, a hauntingly beautiful composition that is arguably the composer’s most performed piece. The musical work was Berg’s last completed work before this death, and Josefowicz brings a raw, fearless intensity that balances its emotional fragility and technical complexity.

Wrap the night with Brahms’ Symphony No. 4 in E minor, Op. 98, a captivating, emotional piece that wraps with a powerful passacaglia that is a mainstay on many festival repertoires.

Tickets to Han-Na Chang & Leila Josefowicz start from S$15 and is available online
