Two Michelin Starred Chef brings his signature Cantonese and Teochew cuisine to recently revamped Cherry Garden at Mandarin Oriental, Singapore

After 38 years of culinary legacy in Singapore, Cherry Garden at Mandarin Oriental, Singapore known for its authentic Cantonese cuisine recently underwent a bold transformation and is now back as it unveils a new culinary concept lead by Two-Michelin starred Chef Fei.
The new elevated concept brings you a new chapter of culinary journey through the new Cherry Garden by Chef Fei.
Starting his culinary journey at a young age of 16, Huang Jinghui also known today as Chef Fei became an executive chef by age 20. Tucked along his belt is his two Michelin starred restaurant Jiang by Chef Fei in Guangzhou whom he have maintained for seven consecutive years. The restaurant also holds a One Diamond in the Black Pearl Restaurant Guide for eight consecutive years.
Chef Fei brings his traditional Cantonese and Teochew flavours and combines with his innovative modern techniques along with fresh and seasonal ingredients.
Chef Fei emphasizes the importance of using high-quality ingredients as the foundation of every dish which can be seen in his lobster creation loaded with basil and pickled mustard greens offers a flavourful interplay of delicate sweetness of lobster with the aromatic hint of basil in a tangy, savoury broth.
Then there’s the Boneless Crucian Carp Congee that is meticulously crafted, wherein each fine bone are skilfully removed by chefs to allow guests to savour the succulent flavour of the fish. A prefect comforting dish which transports you back to the comfort of your own home.
The sautéed diced Wagyu beef with Sichuan peppercorn and chilli promises a myriad of East meets West cuisine, a mark of true culinary artistry at its best.
“Seasonality and freshness are paramount—the soul of every dish. The careful selection of ingredients shapes the narrative behind each culinary creation,” says Chef Fei.

The interiors of Cherry Garden by Chef Fei invokes an inviting space with wooden wooden trellises and old-world stone walls which evoke a traditional Chinese courtyard houses. There’s also four private dining rooms elegantly designed and can host from 4 to 18 guests at the largest room which extends to a private outdoor patio.
