Listening to your favourite Spotify or YouTube playlist from your PC with a true wireless stereo (TWS) noise-cancelling earbuds while working, without having to miss any calls from your mobile phone? Thanks to HUAWEI, you can now have the best of both worlds as HUAWEI FreeBuds 4 allows for dual device connection where two devices running Android, iOS or Windows can be connected simultaneously for an ultimate listening experience.
HUAWEI has recently launch of its open-fit TWS flagship earphones, HUAWEI FreeBuds 4 and we are trilled to get our hands on it to experience it for ourselves and here are our thoughts.
Firstly, the newly upgraded 4th generation of HUAWEI FreeBuds is the industry’s very first innovative open-fit earbuds to feature Adaptive Ear Matching (AEM) technology for an optimal noise-cancellation effect which automatically detect your ear shape to determine the optimum noise cancellation algorithm and intelligently block out sounds. Weighing only 4.1g per earbud, the FreeBuds 4 is designed for comfort and style with everyday usage. In addition, each bud has a built-in microphone, and calls were overall load and clear both on zoom and on mobile.
What we really like about these earbuds is that they are very easy to connect and fuss-free with Bluetooth 5.0 and its small pairing button on the right side of the charging case, innovatively concealed within the round-circular design. Both earbuds are then simultaneously connected with relatively strong connection to my smart devices despite moving away into different rooms. The sleek and slim charging case design easily slips into the pockets.
Another impressive feature would be the in-ear smart detection, where the music automatically stops once removed or when if one accidentally falls out. This means that you will be able to notice it immediately if you lose either one while doing your workouts or daily runs. It also automatically resumes the playback only when put back on, so as to efficiently conserve battery power.
Speaking of the battery life, the HUAWEI FreeBuds 4 lasted 2.5 hours of continuous music playback with noise-cancelling features switched on, before needing to be charged once more. With ANC features switched off that goes up to 4 hours. The charging case gives you 22 hours of music, or 14 hours with ANC turned on. Should you be having long zoom meetings in a day, fret not, with just a 15-minute short charge during your tea-time, you get an additional 2.5 hours usage of the HUAWEI FreeBuds 4.
Overall, the open-fit Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) 2.0 technology, lightweight comfort, high resolution sound quality and intelligent audio connectivity, HUAWEI FreeBuds 4 delivers not only on audio quality but takes the open-fit ANC listening experience to a whole new level.
