Coach Introduces the City Block Bags and CitySole Mid Top Sneakers

Coach unites the cool, gritty soul of downtown New York City with the house’s heritage legacy to bring two of its latest innovations to our sunny shores this Fall – the City Block bags and CitySole Mid Top sneakers.

The City Block bags and CitySole Mid Top mark a new era for the New York City fashion house as Stuart Vevers strives to bring heritage to the next generations, making unique and versatile fashion staples for individuals.

After taking a page from Coach’s history book and reinterpreting archival designs for last season’s Coach Originals collection, Stuart Vevers continues to take a deeper dive into exploring the leathers, silhouettes and details that defined Coach’s heritage and archives.

The City Block bags are the unique result of Vevers’ adventurous dive into the archives. The plethora of geometric shapes in bright tints mark a step forward for the house as they move into a clear step away from the archive.

Taking a cue from the dynamic and artistic spirit of New York, the City Block bags were created in mind to form the silhouette of the city’s skyline when stacked on top of one another, truly reflecting the eclecticism and diversity of New York City.

The CitySole sneakers return this season in a new silhouette, taking inspiration from the retro silhouette of mid-cut court shoes. Fashion meets function as the CitySole Mid Top incorporates the house’s signature benefits of the original CitySole, making it comfortable, flexible and lightweight without sacrificing flair and style. The first of its kind in Coach’s history, the CitySole Mid Top pays homage to the gritty and charming energy of New York City in the early 80’s.

The signature honey-gum soles are embedded with shock-absorbing cushioned pods and flat-flat soles which makes them suitable for traversing through the urban terrain of everyday life while offering your ankles that additional support with its mid-top height. They are an exemplary representation of that down-to-earth, tough attitude that Coach’s Fall collection embodies.

The City Block bags will be launched in-store from September 2020 and are priced from S$950. The CitySole Mid Top sneakers will be launched in-store from October 2020 are priced from S$425.
