Still searching for what to do or dine at to celebrate Christmas with your friends or family? Fret not, as Ginett Restaurant & Wine Bar will have you covered.

Turkey Wellington

In the days leading up to Christmas, Ginett Singapore is presenting their guests with its own creations of beef wellington! Beef lovers can opt for the purist option, the Classic Beef Wellington (S$58++) that comes with a bed of mash, grilled asparagus and a glazed red wine sauce. However, the beef could have used more seasoning as the protein tasted a little dull and old despite its impressive aroma and instagramable cross-section when the meat pastry is sliced open.

For diners who don’t consume red meat, the Turkey Wellington (S$38++) is an adequate alternative that is filled with mushroom, chestnuts and Pancetta, served with brussels sprouts along with a homemade cranberry sauce. Although visually less impressive than its beefy counterpart, the turkey turned out to be more flavourful and tenderly moist for a protein that is notoriously known for being dry once being cooked.

Other wellington options include a vegan option, the Beyond Meat Wellington (S$36++) a “meatless” wellington served with a homemade roasted vegetable sauce. A healthier option is also available on the table for the health conscious diner, the Salmon Wellington (S$38++) is filled with creamy spinach and well-seasoned salmon fillets, served with haricot beans, cherry tomatoes and a dill cream sauce.

Festive Meat Platter

During the Christmas week leading up to New Year’s Eve, from 24 – 31 December, Ginett will also be offering a Festive Meat Platter (S$89++) consisting of a classic beef wellington, turkey roulade, grilled lobster tail and Kurobuta pork tomahawk, served with duck fat potato wedges, brussel sprouts and chestnuts, homemade cranberry sauce and red wine sauce. End the meal on a joyous note with Ginett’s Bombe Alaska (S$26++), an extremely potent dessert for two to share that has a high concentration of alcohol due to being flambéed with Grand Marnier that must be balanced out with the salted caramel and dark chocolate ice cream.
