Singapore GP powers up for the 2019 Formula 1 Night Race with VR Experiences.
Race promoter Singapore GP has released three exclusive virtual reality (VR) experiences to bring Singaporeans even closer to the action, enabling users to see the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix in a whole new dimension. The VR experiences are just one of several complimentary fan-friendly activities under the ‘F1 Power Up’ community series, launched in the lead up to the night race held this September.
Other activities include a roving truck, a simulator challenge, behind-the-scenes tours and a pit lane walk experience.
Experience the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix in 360˚ Virtual Reality
Locals can enjoy the thrills of the night race long before the race weekend comes around with three immersive VR experiences. Members of the public can choose to race around the Marina Bay Street Circuit on board Formula 1 driver Max Verstappen’s Red Bull Racing, go on a guided tour behind-the-scenes, or explore the massive Circuit Park – all in 360˚, without even breaking a sweat.
The VR experiences will make their debut at the F1 Power Up truck, which is making pit stops around Singapore from now till September 2019.

F1 Power Up Roving Truck to Make Pit Stops Islandwide
Back by popular demand, members of the public can experience the adrenaline rush of Formula One night racing on-board Singapore GP’s F1 Power Up truck. In addition to three unique 360˚ VR experiences, visitors can learn how technological advances in Formula 1 has impacted our day-to-day lives.
The public can also race on the Singapore track under the lights in hyper-realistic conditions on race simulators. The top 100 challengers with the fastest lap times will be invited down to the F1 Power Up challenge finals in September. Participants stand a chance to win a pair of Pit Grandstand, Connaught Grandstand or Stamford Grandstand tickets to the “FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX 2019”.
The truck will make pit stops islandwide at schools, heartlands, community events and public spaces, including Clementi Stadium, Pasir Ris East Community Club, St Andrews Autism School, SAFRA Punggol and more till September 2019. Organisations and schools who wish to have the F1 Power Up truck at their premises can write in to info@singaporegp.sg with their request.

Go on a Marina Bay Street Circuit Walking Tour
Members of the public are invited to go on a complimentary guided walking tour at the Marina Bay Street Circuit this August and see what it takes to set up a street circuit in the middle of downtown Singapore for the Formula 1 night race.
Participants will hear first-hand from key Singapore GP representatives, gain an insight into the inner workings of the Paddock, go behind-the-scenes to view the team garages and hospitality homes, and even visit restricted areas like the media centre, race control room and podium during the two-hour tour. For the first time this year, participants will also get to enjoy an up-close view of the race cars and the pit crew in action at the team garages when Formula 1 comes to town – each tour participant will receive a ticket to the Thursday Pit Lane Experience.
Registration is now open for Singaporeans and residents only at www.singaporegp.sg/powerup (subject to availability).
