One of Japan’s biggest summer music festivals is headed to Thailand this August!
For the first time ever, Summer Sonic Bangkok will be happening from 24 to 25 August 2024 at the Impact Challenger Hall 1-3 in Muang Thong, Thailand just one week after Summer Sonic Japan. The festival will have two stages, and an experience hall with F&B, drinks, and fun activities for fans.
The first lineup is pretty exciting, headlined by J-pop duo YOASOBI and Icelandic singer Laufey, who will be performing for the fist time in Thailand at the music festival. Other arists on the lineup include electro pop singer Aurora, R&B crooner Lauv, rising singer Henry Moodie, and indie pop band Nothing but Thieves from the UK.
Local artists “Bright” Vachirawit and Violette Wautier will also be performing at the festival, while fans can look forward to a special set from Thai rock band Bodyslam, who will be joined by special guests from Japanese kawaii metal band Baby Metal and Thai rapper F.HERO.
Two day passes to the music festival start from 5,500 baht. Add-on perks like exclusive merchandise lanes, Summer Sonic Exclusive Box, Exclusive Restrooms, and Exclusive Entrance are available through tiered package passes. Two day VIP passes start from 2,000 baht, and includes VIP lounges and a dedicated VIP area at the front of the stage where you can be closer to your favourite artists.
More artists might be announced and we’re hoping that more of Japan’s lineup will be making a stop in Bangkok with the dates so close to each other, so stay tuned to their Instagram and Facebook profiles for updates!
