Dempsey Hill Motoring Heritage Day 2022 Supports Breast Cancer Foundation
Motoring Heritage Day, Singapore’s largest display of vintage cars, will be held at Dempsey Hill for the fourth year!
The 2022 edition is held in support of Breast Cancer Foundation (BCF) – the most commonly occurring cancer amongst Singaporean women. Guest-of-Honour, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment & Ministry of Transport, Mr Baey Yam Keng will grace the event as well.
Celebrating the finest of vintage motoring, the one day exhibition will showcase immaculate pre-war vintage vehicles, post-war classic cars and motorcycles – spanning from the 1930s to the 1980s. Exquisite marquee models from Daimler, Jaguar, BMW and Mercedes-Benz are on display, as well as popular classics from Alfa Romeo, Citroen, Volkswagen and Fiat. Visitors can also get a chance to view well-loved vintage motorcycles and bicycles of the golden era.
A special highlight this year is the 60th ‘birthday’ celebration of the iconic Triumph Spitfire and MGB – two popular British open-top sports cars that were first launched in 1962!
Besides the vintage car display, a unique photography exhibition will be held at ARTitude Galeria from 23 to 29 September 2022. ‘Ahead of Time’ features survivors with courageous stories of stopping breast cancer ahead of time. 9 notable Singapore photographers have come forth to present this visual storytelling journey: Aik Beng Chia, Charlie Lim, Lavender Chang, Lee Jen, Mark Law, Nicky Loh, Russel Wong, William Chua and Willy Foo.
The strength, vulnerability, and resilience of those affected by breast cancer are portrayed through impactful and heartfelt photography and storytelling.. The featured women, aged 34 to 71 years old, come from all walks of life. Their breast cancer journeys are filled with challenges that range from facing mortality and body image issues to navigating a new normal.
Guests are encouraged to dress in pink in support of Breast Cancer Foundation to raise awareness for the cause. Dempsey Hill Motoring Heritage Day is a great day out for the family, and the first 100 donors at the event will receive welcome gifts.
Enjoy a scenic trip around Dempsey Hill in a historic car and help raise funds for the Breast Cancer Foundation!
