Hot! Loewe Is Debuting New Plant-Based Home Scents This September

Loewe is launching a new collection of home scents inspired by the feeling of living in close proximity to nature, an idea based off creative director Jonathan Anderson’s personal experiences.

With the intention to evoke the raw, earthy delights of a vegetable garden, Nuria Cruelles, Loewe’s in-house perfumier, interpreted 11 plant essences of Creative Director Jonathan Anderson’s inspiration, each expressed as their own standalone scent within candles, wax candleholders, home fragrances, rattan diffusers, matches and soaps.

With each scent symbolised by their plant’s flowers and colour, Jonathan Anderson has collaborated with Franco-Swiss photographer Erwan Frotin to illustrate the home fragrance range’s packaging. As photographs of each plant appear on their corresponding box, each Loewe Home Scent is an expression of nature as muse.

The house’s on-going engagement with the tactile pleasures of ceramics continues with the collection’s hand-crafted candles: strikingly modern ribbed Greek drinking vessels from the 5th century BC are interpreted as candle ceramics. With the wax derived purely from natural ingredients, both candles are embossed with the Loewe monogram and the message ‘Made in Spain’.

Loewe Home Scents will be available at Loewe Paragon, perfumesloewe.com and loewe.com from September 2020, and the full range will be available at the new ION store this Fall.
