MCM Vintage Jacquard Monogram

For Fall/Winter 2021, MCM celebrates its 45 year European heritage by releasing tthe Vintage Monogram Jacuard capsule collection in collaboration with Highsnobiety – A first in the brand’s history.

MCM reimagines its look with the Vintage Jacquard Monogram capsule collection, where the Visetos Monogram takes on a vintage aesthetic as it is woven into fabric, using traditional techniques of The Bauhaus textile school—an exemplar of the artisanship that has defined luxury fashion since its inception.


To bring this new interpretation of the Visetos to life, MCM worked with Berlin creative collective Sucuk & Bratwurst and the seminal fashion and culture agency, Highsnobiety, to create an exclusive 3D monogram animation. The animation depicts a ladybug—a symbol of luck and diligence, as well as Sucuk & Bratwurst’s logo and lucky charm. As the ladybug spreads out its wings, it not only showcases the new MCM Vintage Jacquard monogram, but metamorphoses into a shape reminiscent of MCM’s timeless laurel and diamond logo. The animation succinctly and brilliantly demonstrates the creativity and optimism that exists at the heart of MCM, throughout its history, in every version of its look.
