Following up with the launch of Beyond Burger, Ban Choon Marketing Pte Ltd has launched Beyond Sausage, the world’s first plant-based sausage that looks, sizzles and satisfies like regular sausage, Beyond Sausage is the missing link that delivers the satisfying taste and texture of regular sausage while being better for human and the environment.
Beyond Sausage is available in two flavours, Original Bratwurst and Hot Italian. Despite having no meat, gluten, soy or GMO ingredients, the sausage get its meat-like flavour, juiciness, and texture from the protein extracted from peas, Java beans, and rice plus colour from beets and juiciness from coconut oil. Weaving those ingredients together using heat and pressure to (mimic the fibres of meat), the ground protein is all wrapped up in a casing “derived from seaweed” to keep it all vegan. Each link contains 16 grams of protein, more than that of traditional sausage, and 38% less saturated fat. Unlike regular sausages, it contains no nitrates or antibiotics to boot.
