Experience an Artisan Rosy Afternoon Tea Affair at The Lobby Lounge at InterContinental Singapore!

InterContinental Singapore has partnered with a French luxury beauty brand Chantecaille to create a luxurious high tea experience that exemplifies the beauty brand’s love for flowers- specifically the delicate Rose de Mai. For this limited-edition collaboration, InterContinental Singapore’s Executive Chef Eric Neo worked closely with Chantecaille to curate a custom menu to go along with the rose fragrances inspired and crafted around the aforementioned flower.

Chantecaille has established itself as a premier authority in the world of plant-based botanical skincare and colour cosmetics over the past two decades. The company has always maintained a ‘naturally beautiful’ ethos that uses natural ingredients and plants to enrich their skincare formulas for the betterment of their user’s skin. Chantecaille’s signature Rose de Mai Collection is a reflection of their green ethos, by incorporating the rose into the collection’s line, it passes on anti-inflammatory and anti-ageing benefits to their users. The rare rose, which only blooms for only three weeks in May in Grasse, France, also possesses vitamin C, has additional antioxidant properties, helps improve the user’s complexion, and moisturizes the skin.

Highlights from the high tea set menu include a Rose Tea Blueberry English Scone with a homemade rose-infused jam that is sure to be an appetizing start to the afternoon siesta. The Salmon Confit, Prawn Mousse Pita with Pomegranate and Baked Scallops with Caviar and Cocktail Sauce all act as miniature main courses to help fill a guest’s stomach before moving on to the sweets.

Accompanying the mouthwatering bites are an equally delightful array of sweets such as the Rose Macaron, Sakura Mousse with Peach Jelly and a Vanilla Sponge on a Lemon Shortbread! Guests are also highly recommended to pair the miniature treats with a special rose-infused tea created by TWG exclusively for this occasion!

The experience also features a dessert station where guests may enjoy unlimited servings of four different seasonal flavours of ice cream, baked crumble and bread pudding. Guests may opt to complement the culinary presentation with a flute of Taittinger Brut Champagne, perfect for a relaxing afternoon siesta. After the afternoon tea comes to its inevitable conclusion, guests will also receive a complimentary Chantecaille goodie bag featuring the brand’s signature skincare range, available while stocks last!

*For guests who are worried about going to The Lobby Lounge amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, InterContinental Singapore has safety measures in place to prevent and curb the spread of the virus. Before guests are allowed into The Lobby Lounge, they need to go through a temperature taking session and fill out a health questionnaire. Guests will be separated by an adequate amount of space, a table can only sit four guests at any moment in order to reduce the likelihood of communal spread of the virus.
