Hot! Propeller Bar at Bay Hotel Singapore takes you to party at Winterfell!

Propeller Bar

After the successful Wanderlust Party to Japan last end of March, Propeller, the rooftop bar at Bay Hotel Singapore takes you to Scotland on 24th May from 7 to 10pm.

Riding on the Game of Thrones fever – the most watched fantasy television series ever, Propeller will feature the country where Winterfell was filmed at – Doune Castle, Scotland.

Fill up the tummies with Theon’s cock-a-leeky, “Scotland’s National Soup”. It is cooked using chicken and leek, and then thickened with barley. This traditional Scottish dish goes back to the 16th century and is a popular dish.

Other than that, another hot favourite will be Drogon’s Fire Oysters. These oysters are freshly shucked and flamed before adding on a spiciness level of your choice. Go for the extreme if you wish to breathe fire (dracarys!) like Drogon. These juicy oysters will easily have you desiring for seconds, thirds, or more.

Drogon's Fire Oysters

Almost everyone loves Hot Pies. Chef will prepare mini Scottish pies on the buffet spread and roast rosemary lamb on the carving station. Other dishes include Smoked Salmon with horseradish, capers on fresh bannock canapes and Roots of Winterfell (root vegetables) etc.

Dessert lovers can enjoy Sansa’s Lemon Cake and Cranachan, a popular Scottish treat made using oats, raspberries and whisky.

And of course, the party will not do without what Scotland is most known for – Whisky. The bar will be serving Balvenie and Macallan 12 years, free-flow, while stocks last. If you are into blended whiskys, go for the unlimited Monkey Shoulder or if you are not a whisky fan, there is Scotland’s Hendricks Gin. Another must-try includes the homemade mead, specially done by Propeller’s new bar manager – Haran.

Group cocktails

There will also be two cocktails, with one being the signature Date at Aisle of Sky, inspired by the Isle of Skye in Scotland. The renowned attraction has also been picked for Game of Thrones’ prequel. The other cocktail is the White Walker, concocted using Monkey Shoulder, lemon juice, honey syrup, angostura bitters and the Drambuie Scot Liqueur, which is a combination of aged Scotch whiskies, heather honey and a recipe of secret ingredients.
