Following the success of its Anguilla property, Ani Villas announces its debut in Asia with the opening of two new destinations: a 10 bedroom property on the quaint island of Koh Yao Noi in Thailand and a 15 bedroom estate on the beaches of Dikwella along the pristine southern coast of Sri Lanka.

Ani Villa’s delivers a new class of private luxury travel, marrying the intimacy of private estates with the amenities of world-class resorts. Ani Villas Thailand, is located on the island of Koh Yao Noi, staring out onto the mesmerising limestone karst formations for which Phang Nga Bay is famous. The serene island is reachable by long tail boat or speedboat from Phuket or Krabi – an hour’s total ride from either airport. Guests can also choose to take a ten-minute helicopter journey across the bay. Koh Yao Noi is a haven for water-sports such as cave kayaking, fishing, paddle-boarding and sailing.  Guests can also enjoy cooking classes, cycling, rock climbing, or pampering from the resort’s spa therapists and private chefs.

The temples of Northern Thailand inspired Naga Concepts’ remarkable design. Spanning two beachfront acres, the estate offers 10 bedrooms, which are equipped with generous living spaces, decadent bathrooms, dreamy beds, Apple TV and steaming music. Ani Villas Thailand’s facilities include a stunning 33-meter beachfront pool, children’s pool and double helix waterslide, open-air dining sala, open pool living sala, spa, state-of-the-art fitness centre, bar, yoga pavilion and an enclosed living sala.

Set to also open this December, Ani Villas Sri Lanka is located directly on a large stretch of beach just outside Dikwella on the central south coast — a three-hour scenic drive from the Colombo International Airport or 30 minutes by seaplane to a neighbouring lagoon. Guests can indulge in spa treatments, cooking classes, work up a sweat on the tennis court, gym or on a village mountain bike tour with the property’s fitness trainer.  Beyond the resort grounds, a myriad of activities such as whale watching, fishing, boat trips, surfing, leopard safari, historic tours of UNESCO World Heritage Sites or tea tasting at a tea plantation await.

Designed by Paris-based architect Reda Amalou, whose celebrated works include The Nam Hai in Vietnam, Ani Villas Sri Lanka’s classic tropical architecture embraces natural elements: the tropical sun, ocean breeze and lush greenery.  Locally-inspired design elements, contemporary finishes and artefacts are found throughout the resort and its interior spaces.  The four and ½ acre property offers two villas, providing a total of 15 elegantly-appointed suites.  Each villa boasts a two-storey sea-facing living sala, library, game room and an open dining sala which overlooks a 23-meter beachfront pool, as well as an adjacent children’s pool with a fantastic waterslide.  The expansive suites, with terraces and pitched roofs, are equipped with plush beds, spacious stone bathtubs, outdoor showers, and all modern media technologies. An event pavilion completes the estate making it perfect for events and destination celebrations.
