Football fever is about to reach a fever pitch in Singapore as the global FIFA World Cup event is about to return on 20 November 2022. Aligning with the much-loved global event, Weston Corporation (Weston Corp) Southeast Asia’s leading football merchandise since 1949 is announcing its newest flagship store opening on 17 November 2022, Thursday.

While the existing Weston Corp store at level 1 of Queensway Shopping Centre will continue to carry pre-existing football Premier League products, Weston’s all-new Flagship store on level 3 will focus on brand new World Cup product offerings as well as exclusive activities and events in the future.

From 18 November to 18 December 2022, consumers will see key in-store displays such as the ‘Jersey Team Formation’, a massive wall display that showcases all the 2022 World Cup jerseys at a glance and offers a backdrop for that perfect instagram moment with the visual cue of the scale of the World Cup. “A Generation of World Cup”, features a walkthrough display which features a recount of highlighted milestones at every World Cup since 1990.

To drive up the excitement and to create a buzz for the World Cup, fans who are quick on their feet can put their skills to the test and take part in a friendly 1v1 game of “Subsoccer” or sit back and watch an esports competition in-store on 26 and 27 November 2022. The popular mini World Cup ball, is also available for purchase for fans through a claw machine arcade game.

Fans can also view the widest selection of football country jerseys available at the new store, that features popular countries or pass victors such as Argentina, Brazil, France, Germany, etc. For an additional touch of finesse, fans will be able to customise their jerseys with a range of name and number sets under the Players’ own respective countries and teams. A 240KG World Cup ball will be installed at the flagship store that signifies Weston Corp’s new store opening and will act as the central hub for the celebration of Singapore’s largest collection of World Cup 2022 jerseys.

As part of the new store opening, fans can partake in Weston Corp’s ‘Team of The Tournament Contest’ on Instagram where users can post their prediction of the winning teams on their individual Instagram feed and tag @westonsingapore, using a template that will be uploaded on Weston Corp’s Instagram, along with the hashtags #westonsgworldcup #adidasfootball #nikefootball #pumasg and tag @westonsingapore.

The contest will run from 21 November to 25 November 2022 (end of Group Stage Round 1). The winner who predicts the exact Team of The Tournament (based on the official World Cup TOTT) will be selected at random and will win an adidas Al Rihla, the official match ball of the 2022 World Cup, signed by David Beckham himself!
