Dirty Blonde: Upscale Cocktail Bar & Lounge in Suntec City

Bars in the city center are a dime a dozen, but it’s the ones hiding in plain sight that usually surprises us! The Sky Garden in Suntec City sees another new ditzy bar open its doors, boasting a dual concept to take you from sunset drinks into the night.

At first glance, Dirty Blonde has a chill alfresco area, decorated with colorful art murals overlooking the bar. The woven rattan chairs facing the city was a nice respite from the bustle of the city even though we were right smack in between towering offices. Beers or a nice cold white wine and a cool breeze coming through the garden was the perfect way to wind down as the sunset gives way to bright city lights.

When dusk falls, head inside to the lounge to be transported into a chic cocktail lounge. The bar is helmed by resident mixologist, Stanislav Baliaban who brought his bartending skills all the way from Russia. Aside from your usual cocktail classics, Stanislav has created unique cocktails inspired by local flavours and ready for the gram that’s worth a try.

The Butterfly Spritz was a refreshingly light cocktail that struck us as very Singaporean with the purple brew was garnished with our very own national flower, an orchid. The gin and peach soju is mixed with butterfly pea flower syrup for that deep gorgeous purple, and is very fragrant and full of flowery notes.

Treasure Hunt is a treat for the senses, unveiled in a puff of smoke for a heady yet savoury concoction of tequila, pandan syrup and a bit of lime juice to keep you on your toes. Kick it up with Kiss Me, an adventurous cocktail that should only be attempted by those who prefer a little savoury spice in their drinks. The tequila cocktail is mixed with strawberry puree, lemon juice and chilli oil for a sweet, citrusy and spicy sensation that plays on all your senses!

Bar bites like hummus and fries with dipping sauces are always fan favourites over drinks. For something more filing, the Habanero Shrimp Tacos are filled with juicy, grilled prawns on homemade slaw. A bit messy to eat, but we could devour 10 more! The food menu also has mains like mains like Crab Pasta, Lamb Confit with Potatoes, Pork Belly with Carrot Mousse, and a savoury sweet dessert Cheesecake with Miso Caramel to keep your bellies full.

The lounge also has an exceptional music lineup featuring local artists. Depending on the night, be entertained by live bands or the resident DJ will spin tunes to keep the vibes going! Thursday nights have got a bit of retro and mambo going on to kickstart the weekend early, Fridays is a nice mix of pop and rock, with Top 40 hits on Saturday.
